eliotrw wrote: Stan for tresurer imo As I say, it wouldn't be too difficult to setup at all. Once enough tickets were bought for the game to be played fairly, it would be announced which date of the lottery would be used and then a winner would be picked. I could then meet up with the the winner and Mark (the seller) ensuring that the correct person claimed the vehicle and ensure Mark got delivered the money at the same time. It could be easily done IMO. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

So for example, if you paid your £80 and your name was put against ball 36. If that ball was the bonus ball on the week that was being used, you would win. With regards to not being happy with the car, you could easily shift it again for £200 straight away I would have thought and you've just made £120. Can't really lose in that situation really. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I agree it's not a five minute task but you only need 49 people to make it work. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

"only 49"it's hard enough getting people to go to free meets and pay £1 for keyrings, you've got no chance, far too many dreamers and messers who are quick to say "yeah i'd pay" but do a runner when money is needed! ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

Yes, and has already been said £80 is a noticeable amount to most people. I guess you're going to have to hang on for the right price Mark and sell it that way. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

i can put my name on the list but i can't see him finding 49 people. the idea is good, but the ticket cost is not. thus, does not compute________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

Rikky hit the nail on the head regarding the reality of this...People will say that they will pay until it *actually* comes to coughing up then you'll be left with about 10 who actually do. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

And within that 10 will be a couple that after 2 weeks of waiting for the 49 to be reached will turn around and say 'Can I just have my £80 back for Christmas as this isn't happening'.________________________________________ |

CUJ wrote: The cheaper the ticket, the more likelihood you'll get of reaching a wider audience. As long as everyone who buys a ticket is aware you need to sell a set number of tickets. Also if you make it cheaper it'll generate more interest, if it was £1 per ticket for example. As someone else pointed out, making it £80 is only likely to appeal to Peugeot enthusiasts. If it was £1 I'd buy 10 or 20 tickets just for fun tbh. Write a proper advert up, specs of the car etc. and link it to this thread so they know its genuine, then stick it up on all the other Peugeot sites and see how much interest it gets. Because at say £20? a ticket I can't see anybody not giving it a go. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

20-25 quid is the IDEAL amaount between risk and chance of return I reckon. Its going to take effort, Im not going to pay 80, but the least we can do is get a list going and see how big gets, we can decide if its viable or not from there, but sitting around saying "I would but you wont get X" is worthless because 100 people could say that, which would be enough, but we still wont have a raffle. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |
