I have a slight leak coming from my thermostat area. I have taken it apart and found a split o ring in the house that bolts on to the stat. I have visited Peugeot today whobgave me an I ring but not the one I need. They've provided me with the o ring that fits round the stat. Anybody know the part number for the other o ring within the black housing? Cheers ________________________________________ China's ALIVE !!! |

Providing you have the later design hose, the part number you're after is: 1343 Z4.Hope this helps. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

You don't need to put the code into Servicebox, just call up the Pug dealer and give them the part number. I think it costs around 80p. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

anyone got an exploded diagram of the thermostat / seal? i've got a BBM 205>gti6 adapter on my engine and haven't seen any mention of using an o-ring within this (other than the one which sits around the edge of the thermostat in a recess). is there another one?________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

There is one in the black housing that comes off of the stat. As far as I can see it's not listed as a separate part. Comes with the hose when you buy it. However Stan assures me that 1343 z4 is the same size. Will find out this afternoon________________________________________ China's ALIVE !!! |

well the black housing is what is different on the gti6 engine when using the 205 BBM adapter, so i am not too worried. yet. i am sure it'll be p**sing out and not sealing properly when i run it but i'm sure i'll sort it________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

Rikky, There's a flat O ring that goes inside the 205 metal water pipe. The BBM adapter (when bought new) comes with an O ring where it joins the 205 metal water pipe. To be sure, I used both and it's still drier than your sense of humour. ________________________________________ |

i don't have an o-ring. the adapter i bought was pre-sealed to the outlet takeoff. i was going to just gasket-seal this onto the thermostat housing but i guess i'll need the little o-ring then inside. part number 1343 Z4??i will ring and order one IMMEDIATELY then my enormous build can continue ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

hang on isn't that the same part no for the bottom rad pipe fitting ring?if so, i bought one for my gti6 when it started leaking. but instead of fitting it, i broke it up for spares. FTW anyway the bbm adapter is like 60mm dia from memory so it won't be that ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

the correct part number for the top hose is actually the part number for the earlier bottom rad hose o-ring not the later one that stan posted upstan_306gti6 wrote: 1343 Z4 its the same diameter but slightly fatter. I deduced this by cross referencing the plastic elbow (1336 J4) to the 406 as its used on all XU7J4's and 10J4R's, where the o-ring is listed separately with the top hoses, 1339 94 (DIAM INT 31 EP 3,6) therefore, STAN IS WRONG ! and rikky scrapped a 306 because of Stan! AFAIK Rikky you don't need anything other than the standard thermostat seal with the BBM adapter as long as its the early type that does away with the plastic elbow, they have a new type now which does use the plastic elbow. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

stan you owe me a china blue 306 i'm using the metal elbow from the early 205's not the plastic one with the bleed screw in it gti6 had to go, 205 gti6 would not have been possible otherwise ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

1343 Z4 is the same o-ring which is used on the top hose and the newer style lower rad hose. It's only listed on Servicebox as part of the lower hose, but it is in fact used in both places. Just to avoid any confusion, I am giving you the part number for the o-ring which fits on the end of the top hose which fits inside the black plastic elbow housing. Am I understanding it correctly now that you want the o-ring which seals between the black housing and the aluminium thermostat housing? If so, then Welshpug is right it's a completely different part. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

welshpug! wrote: yes I'm sure, and I have explained why in my post up there Yes, indeed you did. I have also just looked up a 406 XU10J4R engine for the same part. It quite clearly states that the part you're referring to: 1339 94 is the seal required UP TO RPO 07275. The seal part number is indeed 1343 Z4 for vehicles ONWARDS from RPO 07276. This is the reason I stated that if the OP had a later type hose he would need part number 1343 Z4. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
