LOL

There may well be only one top hose, but the sealing ring for it is still 1343 Z4. Yes

Where's that banging head on wall smiley? Crazy

I'm not confused about anything...No

Welshpug - Why you have argued a point regarding a part number I don't know. It was proved that the number you posted was incorrect in another thread (which you agreed with) then you go and delete a 2 year old post because you have contradicted yourself. It doesn't make sense. The bottom line is the OP asked for a part number, which I gave him. You then argued for 2 pages that it was the incorrect one and low and behold the OP buys the part and it's correct. Information dug out of another thread also proves this point and yet there's still a problem? Dunno

CAN O WHUPASS..

Seeing as Stan can't seem to read any more, or accept that he's not correct, I'll have to do it with pictures.

see, no o-ring listed with the hoses, so I think, HMM wonder if I'll find it with the thermostat plastic elbow...

oh, thats a shame, Peugeot have made a balls up, most people would have given up or bought a new top hose.

but no, I think HMMM... what other engines use the same elbow...

AHA! seems like its anything that has used an XU10J4R or XU7JP4, so I go hunting, is it with the thermostat?

Nooo, is it with the hoses I wonder?.....

BINGO!

So how come you are suddenly correct now and yet in Coskev's thread from 2010 (where your reply has been magically deleted) you also stated it was part 1343 Z4? Dunno

I did not state it was, I merely said it might be that number, I did not say it was.

I did some research, and found what I believe to be the correct part, the one you said was right is too thin.

the pics are there to explain it.

So the two parts are both 31mm in diameter, one is 3.6mm thick and the other 3.5mm thick.

So you're arguing the point over 0.1mm?

Besides that, there have been loads of threads on here where people have asked if they can source that o-ring separately as it appears it only comes with a new hose. The answer EVERYONE of them has got is the 1343 Z4 number and they've all bought it and fitted it and had no problems. Wink

Well this thread is a bit of a bonus for me at the moment , ive just changed my thermostat as it was stuck open . I got an o'ring from peugeot along with my thermostat but when i took out the old stat there wasn't an oring there so i didnt fit it as without a frame of reference i couldnt really work out where it went ,

does it:

A. sit on top of the thermostat between it and the black elbow
B. wrap it round the lip of the black plastic housing like a gasket ?

i orginally tried to wrap it around the lip on the housing (like b.)but it doesnt like to stay there so gave it up as there wasnt one there to start with.. its Number 10 on the above diagram.

any help you guys can give me would be good thanks

Good idea , didnt think to check part numbers !

it was not on the bag but was on the invoice , 134030 .

I do appear to have a small leak from the thermostat elbow , and this O'ring is described as a thermostat gasket .

Or do people use some silicone or loctite stuff ?

Ah, wrong one then, pic above shows 1340 48, no need for any sealant with the correct seals.
