There isn't a separate gasket / O-ring for that. The seal around the outer edge of the thermostat performs both functions. It seals the thermostat to the elbow and seals the elbow to the housing. The part you were given, 1340 30, is not used on the GTi-6 / Rallye at all. It's for a different size of thermostat. ________________________________________ Rich
