Cars coming in well
100% mate. I love mine.
Only downside it that the car spins up very easily in the rain.

Anyways car all running well it was time to tackle the suspensionDecided while i was under there to cake the inner wheel arches with wonder wheels and give it a jet wash Before After I then set about removing all the suspension etc ready for the bilstein b8's and eibach's. Now i did the legs 1st and got it all bolted back up then did the wish bones as i did not want to take the drive shafts out as the drive shaft seals had only just been replaced and i didnt want to risk tearing one. New legs on, it was time to sort out the wishbones I had done a trip to euro car parts and £150 later i ended up with this lot Lemforder drop links, ball joints, track rod ends. Pagid disc's and pad's front and rear. Then proceded to remove the old wish bone bushes which was a c**t by the way Oh and the old ones...well have a look Tear the rubber by twisting the p bushes off. Take a angle grinder to the inner part of the bush Then get the drill out and proceed to drill out the wishbone bushes I drilled out as much rubber as possible and then used a monkey wrench to twist out the inner part of the bush. Then beat the s**t out of the outer part with a punch and hammer untill its free Once you have the easy one out, put in a socket ( cant remember what sized one i used ) and again beat the granny out of it with a hammer till it come's out. Remove the ball joint and you're done. Its at this point when i thought, how the hell and i going to get the new bushes back on?????? New bushes supplied by jord So i got creative and made my patiented 6ways wishbone bush press It only bloody worked I then fitted the new p bushes recommended by welsh pug, got them from my local peugeot dealers. If you do buy these bear in mind they dont come with new bolts and the ones off you're car dont fit. So a quick trip to my local fastner place and i got some socket cap bolts for £1. Then i fitted the new lemforder ball joints and got the wish bones back on. New lemforder anti roll bar drop links ( the plastic ones ) and track rod ends where fitted. Then the new disc's went on, my newly painted silver calipers with new pads and a set of swampy braided lines i had ordered earlier. So the rear end off the car............My beam is fooked. The previous owner had it lowered 60mm ish and the rear camber/ bearings lead me to belive its a gonner. So instead of rebuilding it i am currently trying to sort out collection of a low mileage xsara vts rear beam. I will update that when i get it. But the rear brakes still needed doing so i made a start and i can swap them over to the new beam later. I fitted the rear b8's and set about doing the brakes. Caliper off Disc's off to reveal s**tty looking disc protector's Oh and the caliper seals hanging off to so i removed them, copper slipped the piston and worked it in and out a few times. Re fitted the seals which are in good condition. So the caliper carriers and disc protectors needed a clean up. Out comes the grinder again this time with a sanding pad on it. Bit of primer Then painted them all up. Re fitted them back to the car with new disc's and pads and job done. By this time it was getting dark and raining so not many pictures. End result This is how the car sits at the min. The ream beam will be sorted soon as atthe moment the car is arse end low. The old front suspension was 30mm lowered but the shock's are fooked so it sat silly low. Now the eibach's are on and its sitting about -25mm on the front. Bought some oz supperleggera's recently to discover they have a ford center bore size so they wont be going on. Debating if i should get the cyclones done in anthracite grey or go for some other oz wheels, possibly grey ultraleggera's. That looks tidy mate, fair play on the front end renewal, bet you notice the difference. What's so special about the P bushes, got a part no? Why do the bolts need changing, smaller holes? Not sure why there is a pic of your FPR getting a G clamp in there but still! ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

Yeh the front end feels so much better. It was all worn and sloppy so a total overhaul was needed.Think they are just longer lasting/better made etc. Part no 3523 83 The bolt holes are bigger. I can not remember what size they are. Welshpug might know. Yeh that pic went in by accident and i can not edit it out ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

Great work, I've done similar at the front except my chassis rails needed chiselling and grinding rust off.Peugeot Partner bushes FTW - I've got some to go on. Can't wait to get them on with new subframe, wishbones and struts etc. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

So after a very long over due update..............I got some new wheels They were quite kerbed when i got them so after a refurb, new tyres, new spiggot rings and some new bolts and mcguards they were on. Then one night on ebay i had a nice touch and won a set of remault brembo's with an ash 330mm set up. Was dying to get them on but of course they didnt fit under the new wheels which i wont be changing as i have spent nearly 2 years trying to get some. So i am just waiting for a 310mm adaptor set to come up so i can get them fitted. ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

You must of not read that bit Me and a mate bought it to track but after a few weeks he had to pull his cash back out due to family problems and i could not justify having 2 6's that i hardly use. So i stripped farmers one and boosted mine. Rest of the bits sold off. Shame really as it was a good car but was left with no choice. ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

I had it on the standard inlet pipe with a bracket holding it to the gearbox. It sat where the original airbox used to be. Never bothered with a cold air feed.________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

Just like that ^^^^^^^^^^ I was going to buy a shorter pipe to bring the cda up further and run a cold air feed but never got round to it. It was fine like it as long as you dont drive through deep puddles ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |
