Hi Guys

As you may have seen and some people have asked me, I have a company that I use who can do wheel refurbishment

The process they use is a two pack epoxy paint which is extremely hard wearing and curing, I have found it better than powdercoating as it gets a really deep colour glossy finish and damage/chips can be smoothed back and touched in. The latest kart chassis they have done for me literally is the bo++%#ks! and the bike frame before that was spot on.

I'm sending another set of mine in this week and if I can be of help to anyone could take more sets

I pay £25 a wheel which i think is very reasonable, this consists of sandblasting, priming, coating, top coat and finishing

I'm happy to take more if anyone wants to send or deliver me their wheels, if its of any use i will be visiting Wellington in Somerset, Mendips Raceway in Bristol and Cirencester which is Gloucestershire/Wiltshire over the weekend in the van if you want to meet me.

I've had a lot of help from people and would be happy to do something back!

Hmm, is that 25 a wheel regardless of size?
As I'm after some 17's to be done in standard silver.

Also can they do a white pearl finish? But that's for a different set of wheels.

Yeah, size isn't an issue on this instance! Lol, my bike frame was a very glossy deep shine in a very bright white.

Welshpug!: my mans going to do some pricing up on that front and see what quantities he would have to get that colour code of paint in.

Cheers

How long between your trips to Wellington I.E from giving you the wheels when passing one time to then passing again for me to get the finished wheels?

I'd probably be interested in the 1.9 wheel silver Mei speaks of.

Just noticed this is a few weeks old actually LOL

Can they take tyres off rims at the same time? Or does that have to be done first?

I just put that last time as I happened to be travelling around that weekend, usually my parents are up here or I'm down there every couple of weeks if you we're happy to pass them a small donation to bring them up or take them down with them?

I always have them taken off first as they're not an automotive workshop

Still trying to source the exact match to the colour, I've got one very close though, noticed your in wilts, my better half works at Kemble airfield near Cirencester and is backwards and forward every week so again she may be able to help you logistically

I wanted to touch in some paint on one of my RS4's wheels, wanted the exact colour so phoned up Audi, anyone care to take a guess how much they wanted for a 400ml aerosol?
