The worst car wreck ive ever seen was a smashed up 306 Sad it got smashed into my brothers garden wall, straight stretch of main road too so god knows how the driver managed it. 2 people died in it and a 3rd person walked out un injured. He basically begged me to get rid of my 306 after seeing the mess. Not good at all. He probably still has a pic of it but not nice showing it off having known the people in the car.

Seen plenty of absolute rotters here in South Africa. Some real eye openers.

Most of them no doubt assisted by the unroadworthiness of the cars but the sheer abundance of drink drivers too.

Not in it, But the cage took all of it and still room between the seat and wheel to be OK,
But the car ran over my Mates Dad and he's just got over it 16 months down the line, It made the news in Norfolk, Found a nice Blue strobe light in there 2 as a Police car ran into the back of them

Worst one for me was attending an head on crash; car vs kit car. Was on a country lane and the guy in the kit car was thrown out of it (wearing no seat belt). The car was a total mess and the steering wheel was bent at 90 degree angle where his legs hit it on way out. I've never seen a car/engine disintegrate so much after an impact. Don't have pictures to show tho.

There was a good one on here of a beemer at the Nurburgring that had a huge shunt and it's engine came out and tumbled on down the grass runoff area for quite some way.

Worst I saw was when some guy in a 1957 King Midget Model 3 (look it up) had a head on with a 1899 Horsey Horseless (also look this up) and both of them flew out of their front window (no seatbelts) and landed in the back of someones truck and they got driven all the way to Stoke, which was really out of their way and inconvenient. They both had to get a train back to the crash site, by which time both cars had been towed away by gypsies and already turned into living quarters.

No pictures unfortunately but you have my word it happened.

I agree this thread is lacking some good crashes,.. went looking for that BMW one,. I think you mean where someone drives past it on the left and the engine's sitter a few yards down from the rest of the car?

also there's a good one of a Beemer doings tons of flips at a race thats bareley recognisable as a car at the end Crazy

here's a cool vid,.. how many beemers do you recon were lost in the making of this short

Edit:

arhh here's that 2nd spectaculer crash,...

1st link fixed

Hmmm. I dont have any pictures of my first and only crash, as I was curled up vomitting in the hedge. Managed to lose it on a wet windy cornish road with a old stone wall that had some camber on it, hi the wall, split my rims in half, turned up side down and got a smack in the head from my surf board next to me.
Car upside down, light on, engine running. Tried to punch the window out whilst strapped in and upside down, no go, bloody split knuckles. Managed to kick the door out in the end. Phoned PC plod.

My old man turned up just as the HIAB was using chains the right the car and drag the wreck onto the tray. Came away from the whole thing with a hand and that was it.

Moral of the story, if you're gonna turn a car upside down, buy a ten year old Daewoo Nexia. Big grin
