has anyone ever thought about doing this? Tbh i dont think it will be that hard, i was thinking obviously a oil cooler, electric pump, oil lines and fittings. Suppose you could take your feed from the drain plug and return into fill to spill plug??? What u think??

    Overkill, we only use them on odd occasions with the offroaders and they take far more transmission abuse than a 306 ever would.

    Guys i wish i had more cash lol. i just thought it would be good only would cost Žá220 max lol. wouldnt be a big cooler though.

    Really isn't required...

    I've used my car on track and fast road for years now in it's current spec and have never had an issue with the transmission due to the oil getting too hot.

    You're overthinking things...LOL

    Well, I have never had an issue with the transmission at all in that time. Even after 45 minutes on track or an hour of fast road driving through Europe, the gear change was as silent and smooth as anything so I'm guessing that it was all good in there. Thumbs up

    Stick some temperature tell-tale stickers on the gearbox casing and see what your getting up to. No point adding unnecessary weight and complexity if you don't actually need it in the first place. I've thought about doing this myself too and would be interested to know how hot they do get under extreme use but I suspect they don't get hot enough for oil degradation to be an issue. Probably the biggest contributing factor to the boxes temperature will be the heat soak from being bolted to a roasting hot engine. So keeping engine/engine bay temps low in the first place will probably be enough to do the job.

    Yup, so bolting a gert big turbo and downpipe over it might not be the best plan LOL

    You do see them on touring cars and wrc's rallycross etc, but they have significantly more expensive boxes, and on the ralycross cars an immense amount of torque, 500 bhp 700+ Nm!!! (from iron block XU's in many cases!)

    I don't think you would have a problem, Binkagti used to run a turbo on his '6' and never had transmission problems I'm pretty sure. Yes
