The time has come to break up the work horse.

It's a 1998 Ph1 VTS in a lovely puke yellow/green which has covered 77k.

Will be broken up in the next couple of weeks while I rinse it of it's remaining MOT.

I'l be keeping the gearbox, steering rack and probably the rear trailing arms for my 205. Therefore the beam will probably be dismantled if I do this so the 21mm bars will be for sale.

Not going to write a huge list as the car won't be hanging around for long.

77k engine complete with loom and all ancillieries. Good, quiet runner £400

Unlocked ECU £50

Pair of shafts £50

Shocks and springs £30 pair

21mm Torsion bars £80

Front brake setup with discs and pads £80

Rear calipers £40 pair

2 week old exhaust backbox (Was £90 new) £40

Obviously a few other components are '6 compatible such as indicator stalk and some other bits and bobs inside.

Everything is available. As mentioned it won't be broken for a couple of weeks, but when it is it will be gone within a couple of days so shout if you need anything. May be a couple of Xsara lurkers on here.

No problem. MOT expires on the 16th but will probably take it off the the road just before then. The beam will be one of the last things to be removed and then I'l clear a load of other stuff before I dismantle it.

The drivers seat is worn so has a patch which the previous owner 'sewed' on unfortunately. I'd imagine he used oven gloves LOL

Sounds the same as mine then! I bought a Y plate one the other day and haven't really looked at it yet, will see if there's any bits I need as its the same beautiful colour as yours! Seem to remember a dent in one of the front wings!

If you want any panels let me know.

Wheels are not too bad actually. Minimal marks and the tyres have a fair bit of meat on. I'l grab some pics of them at some point.

This is the colour and these are the style of wheels it has.

Due to a holiday which I have just returned from this afternoon, I decided not to start breaking this before I went. I have to move a few cars about over the weekend and then will place the VTS it in it's resting position and start going at it.

Engine is a peach, has been used as a daily runabout for the last year and is a good'un. I welcome any viewings/drives before I start to heave it out.

I've since decided not to keep the gearbox for my 205, so that's up for grabs also.
