Very sensible, save you some points from the plod.

Mintex are fine, they're just standard off-the-shelf jobbies you'd get from any garage. Not going to impress you that much, but are fine for regular road driving.

Get a proper cambelt cover on it ASAP, one piece of gravel gets under that belt and your cheap runaround will become vastly less financially viable Wink

Cambelt looks new and was done with the engine rebuild id had 20k ago, i can do the cambelt but im not very confident in removin the pulleys then timing back up what would mean paying my local for the hole thing. I no its important to have it but alot of other cars dot have belt covers?

    LOL
    You are funny guy.... Razz

OK literally got all shiny new bolts and the only thing i actually need just the front bilsteins and springs now, aside from the building of the beam.
Thing is its cambelt changetime and then Cooling issues along aside with Tax and MOT are getting in the way so once they are sorted i can spend on the suspension (Getting sorted this month)
Although Im quite eager for some progress now so i'll take it home to wales late september and i'm hoping sort out some of the bits on the front, Probably just fit the wisbones, and tre's for now, The main thing though is the rear beam mounts. So its all a bit of a PITA, because its pointless doing that only to put a beam on in a month or two Roll eyes In hind sight I wish I just did the back first and then the front. Rather than tying money up in both and delay it all.
    Live and learn though eh?

Finished early so thought id make a start. Got it all jacked up on stands safely then looked at it thinking what the f**k am i doing........realised i had been stood for a wile so cracked on Thumbs up heres where i got to....

Took the tow bar off, bolts wer on very well and the thing weighed a ton wen it fell on my chest Doh took the lights off to find alot of dust, dirt and grime.

When it come to taking the exhaust off....well that was rediculous. I have taken off exhausts befor and this was by far to hardest so after alot of wd40 and waiting then wd40 and waiting i finaly managed to get it off. No wonder it was soo loud

The backbox is fine so will keep this unless someone wants to buy it.
I got the new handbrake cable on but when i took the discs and pads off to change for the new mintex ones that came with the car, i realised one side was looking a bit bare......can you spot whats wrong?

So i now need to source a backing plate for the rear drivers side.
Took the calipers and cleaned them up and give them a lick of rust-oleum, brilliant stuff 1 coat and protects from rust no need for primer. Not sure what colour yet but will do the fronts the same

Thinking about selling the cyclones and maybe getting some standard ones, anyone want to buy these £100 offers?

All of this took about 3 hours along with p**sing around and sit downs Smile

Spent a couple hours sanding with 240 and 800 grit, primer then flatting off and so on.

Fogot about these....how do you think they will look on a 6? Anyone wanna buy them £80?
