PMSL!!

A milk float would probably be faster! I had a white Ph2 S434GVC about 9 years ago and it's nowhere near as quick. If the performance is poor next week, I'll be selling for another Ph1 172.

Haha, we'll see how the Pug goes on Sunday, if it's crap then I'll be selling for a Ph1 172.

If you've got a housing in good condition then is be interested.

Cheers.

Well, I don't know if it's because I'm so used to the refined power of the R32 but I can't see it passing any 172's on Sunday. Hopefully the new throttle cable improves it as the old one is stretched, which won't be helping.

I didn't have any problem when I raced my friends 172 before he stuck a whacking great turbo on it.. That was with a standard ph1 that made 165bhp when I RR'd it. Don't get me wrong i didn't shoot away rather edged away.

A few Cliosport guys are going too, just need to make sure we get on the same session.

I bought the car on 2/6/12 drove it 104 miles home and it's not moved. When I drove it the throttle cable was stretched a lot, WOT would've been unachievable. Hopefully this new cable sorts it or it's going to Ecosse for some TLC.

Just check that when the accelerator is fully depressed you cant manually open the throttle any further. You can take up the slack by moving the metal spring clip that secures the cable to its mount on the throttle body.

These cars do seem to vary a little in performance from one to the next from my observation. My mate had a ph2 that was literaly identical in a drag race yet a ph3 another friend has is very slightly slower... Maybe driver who knows.
