Track day has came to soon, thermostat housing won't be here in time and Demon Tweeks have sent me the wrong Cobra base mount/slider.

Gutted!!

Next Hot Hatch day is 19th of August, gives me a chance to fit everything including the decat. I'll insure it for a few days and run it to work to loosen it up a little.

Looks good mate, almost too clean for a track car anyway!

Will have a nosey at the PFC Day in September.

They should be swifty, a p1 is lighter than a rallyee.
And therefore the quickest 306...

It's not as clean as the pics suggest, but it's in decent nick for its age.

I think you would've been wasting your time as it looks good in the pics but up close it's a different story.

Lacquer peel galore lol.

I seen yours on eBay, was just too far/clean for what I was after.

If I was after a road car I would've gave this a wide berth. LOL!

Well will you look at that, my old girl's becoming a track car! Glad to see it's not going to be boy raced by some scummer. It was a gorgeous car in the sun, especially with the anthracite compomotives on it! Throttle cable was genuine item from Peugeot when I got it, sounds like it's been treated a bit rougher than when I had it. Will be good to see photos of it screaming around a track though, something I Daren't ever do as it was my reliable daily driver! Look forward to seeing how you get on,

I wouldn't say it's had a hard life tbh, not one single dent in her.

Found some extensive accident damage repairs when we stripped it out. N/S/R has taken a bit of a bash at some point which resulted in a full new inner/outer quarter.

The weather is to be much improved next week and I'm off work for a few days so I'm hoping to get a bit more done to it.

Wow Gaz, didn't know that at all, thanks for that info.... My last one had been in a shunt too. This one was driving really nicely when I sold it, spent forever making sure wheels didn't cause wobble through the wheel etc....

Will be keeping an eye on this

Apart from that, it's solid for a 16yo car.

On idle, the engine is silent which is a minor miracle for 114k lol.

Amazing mate, i loved just how smooth it sounded.....seemed like a really healthy engine and i do definitely miss it! Had to get a diesel to save on fuel costs though.

Did you see how it looked when Pete and I had it on Compo's? Here's me trying to convince you to change the wheels.... Laugh

So do I, I was doing 40 miles a day to work and back with a bit of fast pootling around and I was using about £65-£70 per week. I think oil tankers are cheaper to run than that was Smile

Not a chance in hell, LOL!!

I get maximum of 200 miles from a 55L tank in the R32.. I average 18mpg.

From memory, my old Phase 2 GTI-6 was circa 350 same as all my RS Clio's.

Car looked great on the Cyclones, not too keen on the Compomotives tbh.
