You can pick up at 6 or Rallye for next to nothing now as that ebay thread showed. Will they fade into obscurity in future years or become a collectors item? |

It won't ever obtain the status of the 205 GTi if that's what you're getting at.________________________________________ Rich |

As with all things that become few and far between it will hold some sort of 'value'.It won't be a high value though.Nothing iconic about them. ________________________________________ |

I think as the numbers die and there are only 5 more in existence, there will be a time in 50 years when some members from here that are then in their 60s/70s with a bit of pension money that would be willing to spend 10/15k on one of the rare rallyes left, especially if Carls remains on 500 miles. |

You never know, I used to have a few old fords (xr2's, escorts etc) which i bought for next to nothing, stripped and scrapped and they'd be worth a bit now if they hadn't rusted away. As said, as they get rarer they'll be worth a bit. Thats what i'm hoping for with my rallye. ________________________________________ My GTi6 track projectWhite Rallye project |

the 205 gti is indeed the iconic hot hatch, and the 306gti6/rallye must be the last of the decent peugeot hot hatches in saying that, they may well become a classic. not for a few years though, and the chance of finding/owning a minter will be quite rare in itself over the years since the 306, peugeots hot hatch efforts have been pretty lame ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE. I know where your coming from, but you really can't compare Peugeot to Ford for having a following and demanding premiums. ________________________________________ |

The thing is most of those fords represent absolutely **** value for money..Why any one would pay for a any 4x4 ford over a evo or subaru is beyond me. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Just curious on what you base that opinion on. Some people want to be in the elusive club. £10/15k on a Cosworth which you won't lose money on Vs a run of the mill Evo or Subaru which are half decent cars, but don't stand out and will drop in price. ________________________________________ |

Compare what tuned evo you can get for standard esc cos money ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

I think alot of it comes down to people who had them "back in the day" then later in life remebering the cars they had and want to be reminded of there yoooof! So 10/15 years later when they search for that mk1 escort they had they soon relise theres sod all left but are willing to pay for the memories. So it could happen with the 6. I think ill do the same in 15 years with a mk1 saxo vts, as it reminds me of when i was 18 and life was simple, good times |

The thing is in last year I certainly have noticed there are no where near as many for sale these days and yet the price continues to decrease.I plan to buy a White rallye after I get my place, not sure if I will use it though |

I hope to see the GTi6' go up in value in 10-15yrs for the cherished examples even if they only reach the current value of a low Boost sc. I think the Rallye' will gain some sort of Classic car status, It deserves it IMO.I'd rather have a Cosworth over an Evo/Impreza as certainly with the Impreza you only have to drive a mile or so and "oh I have just seen 3" but I see where people are coming from and yes the Cosworths are a bit dated now :shattereddreamsmiley ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

I bought an escort cosworth and think its a much better car than a Subaru and Eco, less around and worth so much more, each to there own and all that. Plus hopefully if I decide to sell I will get my money back, possibly more. carl ________________________________________ C.G.Cars of Leicester, Peugeot/Citroen/Renault specialist Tel: 01162 624498/07799 405184 WWW.CGCARSLEICESTER.CO.UK36 narborough road south, Leicester LE3 2fn MOT station now open, tests £35 with a free retest. The 306 gti6 bought me back to the peugeot stable after nearly an 8 year gap as since the 2000 rallye I owned brand new I have never driven a good gti made by Peugeot..... Also referring to subarus (classics omit blob eyes onwards.... I think they will go exactly the same way as the Cossie Saphires went, bags of crap for a bag of sand for a few years and when harry decides he wants one in 5 years time I will almost guarantee a good one being 5k+. The evos are still holding that money now from evo 6 onwards and I cant see them being cheaper. its just my opinion..... ________________________________________ 306 less for first time in nearly 7 years. When and if I get a nice bigger garage it will be a cossie that's sat in it with my 6 not a Evo although I do like some evos. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I know which I would have. Thats my point really, just that im not sure these RS's are worth the price they demand in any aspect Stats on the Impreza Power (hp): 280@6,500rpm Torque (lb ft): 260@4,000rpm 0-60mph: 4.7 sec Top speed: 155mph Weight: 1,275kg 1000 made Stats on the escort 0-60mph time of 6.2 Power is 225Hp Top Speed 137mph Weight is the same.
