Got to shoot out to a meal so going to keep this short as sweet...

Now driving my gti6 on LPG. VERY happy with the result so far, had a bit of a problem yesterday but it's been sorted, just a loose spark plug.

The conversion. I'll post up more info as soon as I can, possibly tomorrow. In the meantime here's some pics of the conversion as they speak a 1000 words.

On another note, not only am I saving on car tax (around 20%), my car insurance renewal has come in. Was quoted around £420 for the year, for me, 6 years driving, 4 years no claims. 23 years old, 5 points (will have 0 in December this year). Since the LPG was added my premium has now been reviewed again and I'm now paying £380 all in! So treated myself to UK and Euro Flux Breakdown cover for £54 too.

Only been driving a week. Can confirm 0-110 speed is the same on petrol as it is on LPG. Top speed hasn't and wont be tested (Might have been tested on private road).

Average petrol cost - £80 for 350 miles
Average LPG cost - £35 for 300 miles
I drive about 1000 miles a month. You can work out my savings! Then less car tax rebate, less car insurance premium, add £100 for extra annual service, add £40 a year for the flashlube to keep the valves lubricated and add £50 a year for maintenance I guess.

To add, it idle's better and has sorted my stalling problem too

To be fair to James, he never said he wouldn't pay up, just that he didn't see any benefit at the time.

Now that he's got something shiny to show us...

Anyhow, should break even in 12 months time based on those figures, and the assumption that only LPG is used.

it was an exadurated statement as of course i don't know how long james ,or anyone else are going to live.
so in the long run yeah i guess he will save money. personaly i would have spent 2k on throttle bodies and cost myself more in the long run but had waaayyyyy more fun.

what does that flashlube system do? Local garages do loads of LPG converions for around the same money, and they only install the basic kit in a way a 5 years old kid would do.... Like drilling the jets into the inlet runners, and leaving the shiver inside the manifold...
