Don't get me wrong, the results sound great for the guy who wants to stay N/A and fair play to Bob if this is all kosher.

However, I still don't see how he is going to make a sellable package out of it because customers will want to know exactly what they are paying for. Even if they haven't got a clue about it, they will at least want to know to be able to tell their mates down the pub exactly what mods they've got done to their car. Yes

I can't see some guy saying to his mates:

"Yeah, so I took it to this fella and he modded it all up and now its running 235bhp."
"So what mods has it got to get that then mate?"
"Oh I don't know really, he wouldn't tell me, I just paid him the £3500 and left."

Baker bm, top one f**ked up fast so this got changed for a standard one, I'm going to change them all to vibra technics ones I think, or I might just get the engine welded in and duck the mounts off.

I agree with you totally but obviously once i have fully develped my package and sourced all the required parts at a price only i can get then regardless of everyone knowing what parts i use i could rest assured no one could offer the same package for the price i will charge.
Rich w sells lightened flywheels ,pullys, head gasket knowing full well no one can get what his supplying for less and have the same quality product then he develops a supercharger bolt on package and a high boost package with the likes of yourself and many others on here saying its a quality product etc its only feasable if its profitable theres no point in running a buisness and telling everyone what products you use and where you get them from because it would not be a buisness for long.

So Bob, Im coming at this form another angle.
How much has the spec cost you?
Is all of it off the shelf?
Is it still a 2 litre?
How much would you market it for?
How many miles has it been at that power?

Due to encountering a lot of problems i has cost me thousands so far.Its got to be worth a couple of thousand at least to make it worth my while and any potencial customers but its all in its development stage at the momment so sorry i cannot answer all your questions.

Without going into very detailed spec as you dont want to, what's the rough spec then of your engine? Rr printout, wheel horse power, torque curve, torque figures etc. if you can give all of this which you should be able to if it's all true and no bulls**t then I'll believe you.

Both on your current 235 and forthcoming 250 engine

Take this any way you want firstly you have a better handling and more balanced car than mine and a better braking one.Credit where its due around a track i think you will beat me quite easy even though i will have a measly few bhp more than you which will count for nothing due to you having a more balanced car.RR Graphs and bhp figuers specs count for nothing its what the car does on the road / track where it matters ie talk is cheap just like the CYBERSPACE BIG MEN on here that give it loads lol.
Why dont you line your car up against mine in a straight line trial race and see for yourself what my spec is no gassing long thing etc lets just get it on.A lot of people on here rate your engine spec and your tuner andy sorry Sandy so when i go past you it will give my spec the proof the members on here are asking not to mention free publicity.I wont have to be asked about my spec because ill just show them the video of me going past you after all whats better than seeing is believing

All?

Have you answered any? Unsure

The point you made about Rich_W supplying parts as he knows people cant get same product for cheaper etc, yeah thats fair enough.

You dont have to give exact specs of everything, and exactly where you got it from. Sure people on here just want to know what you have done.

For example, you could say you have cams and a ported head. That doesnt mean you have to give away any secrets by saying how much has been taken from the head, and what cam profiles, duration and lift you are running.

I dont think its that hard, and dont think you will be giving too much away so people can copy you. Unless its "Jimmyhackers" style, and you have created some wierd and wonderful invention that gets you loads of power? Dunno

Disclaimer: I am not a cyber space hardman or whatever you want to call it. I am not being hostile, I like many others is just curious to what you have done Smile

No, but it would have made 198bhp with a new rear mount and extra concentrated screenwash.

Has anyone eaten anyone elses hands yet?
