Having sourced thicker tb's and a hybrid arb and oe mounts from GSF, I took all these to Andy to build up into a new beam. After a bit of discussion as to whether I wanted custard creams or bourbons, and tea or coffee, we settled into a protracted discussion about beams, which was only interrupted by the fluffiest cat I'd ever seen, curling up in his garage. (I think he uses 24 of them now, for soundproofing)Long story short, as soon as I'd fitted mine I could tell the difference. My poor car then went from there to Deepaks to get all the goodies fitted that I'd collected, based on Andy's advice. So you should get one. And annoy his neighbours |

A few questions, I am looking to get a new rear beam in about a month. What shocks do you fit to the new beams, standard Pug ones? If so would you be able to charge extra and fit Bilstein B8's? Do you also just use the Pug mounts (The rubber, semi flexible ones) ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! lately, i have had a lot of people asking about me delivering one of my refurbed axles i'm sorry, but i would prefer collection only, as that way, i get my px potential buyers are welcome to arrange a courier themselves, but i must have a px, or an additional cost is added to the price of the axle thankyou ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE. Just picked up my axle today, it's perfect. Looks like new! Cannot wait to fit it to my car. If your sorting out a 306 or putting it on the track, I would advise getting your beam rebuilt with Andy ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! After being to Andys today i can confirm the followingMe makes good teas His pussy is indeed very fluffy And his beams are amazing! Literally what a work of art, I felt terrible driving over grit immediately after he fitted it, it looked that good... If you want a beam i strongly advise you to take the plunge, after only having it for 4 hours or so i could honestly say its one of the best ways ive spent my money for a long time Its surpassed my expectation and the ride height looks (and feels) perfect. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

I had a glimpse of your beam when I was there yesterday, new bars in yours aswell? How come you didn't go for a hybrid then? The snow was insane on the sides of the roads, at some points it was higher than my van. ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! I actually broke out in laughter when i saw the street :pYeah new bars, the dampers are obscenely good, the way it handles speedbumps etc just makes no sense!! Yeah not fitted the hybrid yet, thought it was worth experimenting without Well that, and the money can go towards roller bushes. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Does that mean that the value of the parts fitted to your car is shifting in the right direction? ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! Project Thread Looking for: VTS P1 Rack PR1.2 16" |

As people have said before, I would highly recommend Andy if you're looking to get a new beam made up, or like me, just getting your original one refurbed. He's done a really professional job on mine, all done and fitted for me in the space of a couple of days this weekend! You know when you meet people who are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do and give you that confidence that they're going to put real effort in to doing a good job? Well he's one of those people. He gave me some good advice on what was needed, and importantly what wasn't, (like reusing my existing shafts rather than paying close to £200 for new ones, even though he had them there sat on a shelf - I guess its because unlike a garage he isn't making a mark up on them?). He's got a great little workshop set up and had all the little parts like, nuts, bolts, pipes etc in to do a proper, well finished job, rather than the bare bones (for example, rather than reusing lock nuts like most garages would he used new ones, and replaced some warn flexible brake pipes, fitted a missing heat shield, fixed my compensator etc). All genuine parts too! So if you're looking to get a beam done, (or just to get some purrs from what is indeed a very fluffy pussy ) give him a shout! ________________________________________ Mods Done:- DVD, BT, Ipod, DAB Head Unit, 7" Wireless Screen, Speakers, Xsara Jets, Aux Fusebox, Boot Trim/Carpet, Heater Matrix & Radiator, Momo Gear Knob, Michelin Tyres, Rear Courtesy Light, Reconditioned Centre Console, Intercooler Clean/Gasket, New Exhaust/de-cat, New Battery, Half Leathers, Boost Gauge, Masked Crystals, Side Skirts, Cyclones, Rear Shocks. |
