i dont wanna buy whole engine... il be happy with just changing the block and pistons...cant find one no were how much can i get rings for? (fairly decent set) pug said 50 for each piston... ________________________________________ phase 3 Hatchback V reg 5Door GTi6 |

You need to buy a complete engine mate, don't go worrying about changing blocks and pistons now just buy a whole lump either off here or eBay and then fit it. ah, failboat lolz !I;d still get in touch with a local engine remanufacturer, there might be somehting somewhere you can use. for example my ring kit was for an S16 but the top ring is incorrect, but a Vauxhall C20XE top ring fits. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

but thing is iv done loads to engine...new seals allover.. flywheel skimmed new clutch new big and smallends head skimmed valves lapped... cleaned all grime out.... put lot of effort into it... so realy just want block with pistons and put new rings on il be selling them turbo pistons with block anyway im sure some1s gna wanna turbo or super theres up.. ________________________________________ phase 3 Hatchback V reg 5Door GTi6 |

You really don't get it do you? We aren't saying give up on the engine you have, shelve it for now and chuck in a runner to get you moving, this will cost very little. Seriously mate, listen to these guys as they've been there and done it. I gather that your relatively young (like me) so don't rush into things as you clearly don't fully understand them just yet. As daveyboy said, grab a couple books, learn a bit more and then go tinkering with your bored out engine and in the meantime, chuck a decent standard lump in to keep you mobile  good luck |
