Pilot exalto 3 for the win. Still the best tyre I have ever driven on is the Goodyear eagle f1 dsg3. Totally epic.

Running yoko paradas now but in the future once my suspension has been tweekd I will try a change.

i was told yesterday the pzeros are excellent in the wet, but get very hot in the dry

i was considering what tyres to go for on my 16s. read quite a few reviews, and tbh, AVON ZZ3s seem to be highly rated

plus camskill are doing a cracking deal on them at the mo Thumbs up

Never tried those. I have had zv3's which were okay as a budget tire. Interesting comment about the nero's, maybe i'l see how sams fairs with them.

had a set of rainsports put on for the wet winter everybody,s favourite on here,the goodyear eagles F1s will be back on soon,which i rate 205 45 16 And ihave a set of 195 40 16s yoko s-drives excellent

Thinking of changing the ride height at the rear to bring it up a tad. The. Getting my front wheels re-machined to bring the offset in and allow me to run different tyres!

My snetterton vid below was on Spec 2's as was the anglesey one on a very wet day.

I actually thought they where a good tyre, had to mess with the pressures etc but Ive been more than happy with them under track conditions.

Currently thinking about these again for a cheap track tyre.

Apparently they are good in the wet if you can get and keep them warm enough. But on normal roads pootling about is where I have my own personel issues. Maybe it was the fact that the car (impreza) I ran them on was too heavy I dont know. It seems in the scooby and evo car clubs that they are not fans. Maybe they are okay on 306's and im tarnished by my experiance in a car they were not suited too. Who knows.

I have Prada spec 2s on the front and they seem to be fine in the wet. Even with alot of power going through them Smile

I've been on Dunlop SP Sport FastResponses recently, they're the only sub £60 tyre in 50 profile that seems to have a half decent sidewall... Seem to last adequately, the steering response is so much improved over Paradas - dry grip is very good and they're not half bad in the wet either, very good aquaplaning resistance from what I've experienced.

The Paradas aren't THAT bad IMO, they are impressive in the dry and not horrendous in the wet, obviously their aquaplaning resistance isn't amazing - but it's fairly obvious why!

Yes, its true to say that perhaps the Parada isn't an ideal tyre choice in monsoon conditions...

However, saying that in 2009 myself and Stilly did manage to drive at very high speed for a long time in monsoon conditions in Europe and we never encountered any aquaplaning. The tyres were up to temp though and the grip was good. Yes

I haven't really had much experience of the Parada in 'greasy' conditions. It was either wet or dry when I running them.

However, I would imagine that if you kept the tread temp up in the greasy conditions they would still grip well.
The couple of times I did encounter such conditions I suffered no grip issues, although the tyres were warm at the time. If they weren't it could well have been different maybe according to what you're saying. Dunno

Hmm, I thought they weren't TOO bad in grease - I've had better, but by no means the worst, but pretty awful when it came to standing water... I definitely had a few brown pant sessions on the motorway with them.

Problem being, when it's driving rain and you're having to go up the motorway at 55-60mph, there's not a massive amount you can do to get some good heat into them!
