Am planing a set of these tyres and was wondering if anyone has used/using these and what they think. Them seem a decent price, At 50 pound a tyre.

I have tem on my 6. 195/50 15s I love them, probs one of the best tryes I have used on the road fo a standard tyre.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

Parada Spec 2's are great tyres providing you warm them up and don't drive like a loon in the wet without keeping the temperature up in the tread. Yes

Never had a problem with these tyres, the only reason I changed to R888's was that on a hot day when on track, the Spec 2's had a tendancy to overheat after a few laps and then the grip was drastically reduced. Apart from this, great tyres! Thumbs up

PE2s are very good in the wet and dry, but especially the wet. Run 2psi more in them than you would normally as the sidewalls aren't that stiff. They are very light weight though so you'll have better fuel economy and acceleration.

Why not, the road is a race track no? And spec 2s are nowhere near as bad as your making out, they are a road tyre after all!

Point taken, but at the same time I have never had a problem with the Paradas in the wet when poodling along either...No

Not sure on the 306 but on my 405 Le Mans and 205 mi16 track car I use Parada Spec 2's when I go over to the 'ring and do 9 min laps on them, 4 or 5 in a row. The sidewalls are a tad soft but you adjust your driving style accordingly.

For all out track 888's are hard to beat.

I certainly would not say the Parada's are shit. I can manage a 1200 mile round trip, 20+ laps of the ring and a few 'steady' months on the road out of a set of four.

Why keep em warm when pe2s are good when they are not though?
I've had pretty much everyone of the tyres that are thought to be decent on the 6 now.
With michelin pe2s all round it was just immense, anything else and its too easy to wheelspin out of a corner. And the back steps out a bit too easy in a roundabout

'cause there is a benefit to that hard rubber - it take some serious stick to overheat them or wear 'em down even thrashing the shit out of 'em.
Don't get me wrong, they have plenty of downsides, but they're not as terrible as people make them out to be tbh.

I dont like spec 2's, they were awful on my scooby so much so I thought something was wrong with the car. In the dry they gripped well but in the wet they were terrible. I swapped them for eagle f1's, car felt much better. But now I use pe2's and can't really fault them. They ain't much more money than paradas but considerably better imo. Smile

I did prefer eagles for steering feel and feedback + wet grip, but when I killed a set in 6k it kinda upset the wallet LOL

I just got rid of my cyclones with eagles on and by were they fun Laugh my ass off side ways in the wet ect... I wouldn't say they were as good as the pradas. I now have pradas on my pro 1.2 and love them, who said anything about warming them up? Whistle I leave my work carpark at 1.15am and on my way home there are 11 round abouts one after the other then straight onto the back roads te rest of the way home and to be honest yes I do give them some stick and they take all that I give them, can't. Fault them. I wouldn't choose any oher tyre now uness I went for some yokohama A048 R Advan tyres Big grin

I did similar with t1r's but with those, I was glad to get them off the car. I mullered them, chewed up the outer edge of the tire, the sidewall collapsed in one and the grip was negligable. But at list they are only half the price of eagles. Smile
