I wish you the best of luck with the sales Si, but please don't break the rallye mate.

unfortunately the rallye is only worth a little over 5 in my opinion. rich sold his beast for around 7-8 iirc. i only just cleared 4k by selling my low boost and all the spares out of my garage

Has RichW sold his diabolo red 6? Unsure

I'm sorry but £8,000 is far too much money for a 306. The possible exception being the really low mileage one Carl Chambers bought which could be a good investment if kept for a while.

I also find it odd that some people consider the only important characteristic of a car to be how surprising it is. Don't get me wrong, I liked my 6, but I would never drive around in the solidity, comfort and refinement of an E46 M3 wishing I had spent the money instead on a 11-15 year old French hatchback in order to obtain a slightly better power/weight ratio. There's so much more to a car than 0-60 times and pub ammo. Driving around in a car which cost a fortune yet appears almost worthless to anybody else, just to prove a point doesn't really compute. Erm?

It seems I'm probably in the minority here though. LOL

I've not done it to prove a point though.
I did it because I can.

You don't have to defend your decision. I'm not having a go, merely pointing out that it doesn't make much sense to me. In much the same way as taking out a £2,000 loan and asking the forum how to spend it on something unnecessary doesn't make sense. LOL

it doesn't make sense to me either but I'm still happy I did it.
I Think the attraction is because it's a sleeper, you see other cars like the evo for example and it's obvious what it is but mine just looks like a basic old French hatchback.

Evos and scoobys are dirt ugly and so in your face with the big snorter, spoiler its all to much.

Sometimes they make something unexpectedly great the 6 is on that list, Yes lotus, ferrari etc can do it better but not at this price.

Its like hoping for another elvis or jacko it aint going to happen, there will be no modern equivalent.

Gorgeus rallye btw...

thats where i Had it...8k? But to be fair i didnt think the turbo monster 205 would sell for 7k never mind the asking price. I was very wrong... I Like all 3 of these 6s. Need to see a shrink. quickly. Just been offered a job in jersey...great car for a 2 minute drive from one end of the island to the other.
