I quite like those holes, looks aggressive. Are you putting your plate back over them for road use or moving the plate?________________________________________ Team 'unintentional rat look' |

Plate will go on for road and off for track use. There is a canny gap behind the bumper now ther is no big heavy fan housing there or bumper support. Bonnet wasnt easy like. Aero catches turned to today. made a start fitting them but then got bored :/ drilled 2 holes in the bonnet than that was me done couldn't be arsed with the hassle so decided to fit my OMP lower strut brace... Damn its tight From what i can see its touching the back of the sump. ahh well suppose it will do, at least it will help my BakerBM lower mount After fitting that i moved on to finally changing the baldy tyre on the 106. Looks like it has had its moneys worth out of it ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Been quite busy with the car this week, worked out the wiring for my fan so i cut all the original look up, kept 1 relay and a few wires and hey presto, works a dream. Can even still use my A/C button to switch it on, cut the original fan loom plug off and just joined the wires with connectors and taped it all up to keep it tidy. Fitted my new rallye blanks i got in part ex with my old ph3 crystals then fitted the front end again, hopefully for the last time I have now moved onto the inside of the car where most of the sound deadening is removed from the passenger front and rear foot wells, rain sensor and wiring removed, head liner out, parcel shelf wiring just about removed. Next job inside is to remove sound deadening from drivers side, remove rear seat mounts, refit seats. Think that's about it for the inside. Once that is done i need to fit new front and rear discs and pads then might still look into making up a rear diffuser. All needs to be done before 1st of june as thats when i want this back on the road as i am all booked up for a track day at croft on the 10th ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Looks lush in this pic! Could do do a brief FAQ on your fan wiring, I'm running 2 slimlines currently one direct from the ac button and the other into the original wiring but I'd quite like to simplify it if possibleCheers simon |

Due to unfortunate circumstances my 106 derv is now dead found a hole in the sump where all the oil was escaping after driving down a rocky road But at least on the up side my 306 is now out of the garage and back on the road. Got a bit more work done to this yesterday as well. Stripped all unwanted wiring from in loom in the car, Removed all the sound deadening from the foot wells and painted it all up. Also gave the underside of my single skin bonnet a lick of paint to tidy it up. Once that was done i thought i may as well go out and get a couple of photos with my mate in his evo ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Did you use normal drill bits or a spot weld drill bit?I did all of mine with a spot weld drill bit and spot on! Apart from half of them penetrating the skin underneath too ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Just a normal drill bit and a hammer came straight out. All rear brakets are now gone I have been offered a set of carbs from a lad local to me so might invest in them for now till winter comes and i can sace abit money to build a nice n/a engine. I need to find somewhere i can get my car weighed then want to get it on the rolling road to see how shes doing. ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Had my car weighed today. Nod bad i dont think, weighed in at 980kg it should be spot on as the weigh bridge was calibrated on 21/5/2012since then tho i have removed a few more things and more things still to come off. Removed the spare wheel brackets, rear heat shield as it was rotten, just got some manual rallye wing mirrors so i can get rid of the electrics. Will remove the dash at some point when i have plenty of time and remove the rest of the sound deadening, polycarb rear window, single skin boot lid and doors. Thats all i have thought of for the now but we will see what else i find ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

You shouldnt take that 'calibrated' sticker too seriously to be honest, chances are they testers just came in and dumped a load of dead weight on the scales and checked it was reading within tolerances I do that s**t for a living but in doctors surgeries..... ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!''
