Well im back in another 306 !! This will be my 4th 306 now, the others being 2x 1.8 xs's and 2.0l xsi. and its also my 3rd peugeot 'Rallye' having had both a 205 rallye and 106 rallye before hand.

I sold my Leon Cupra just before christmas to sort out a deposit for my house. This then left me car less !! I went on the hunt for something to replace it with, and just automatically came back to a peugeot. And as ive never owend a 6/rallye i thought it was the right time !!

Anyway, i saw a cherry red rallye for sale close to me. It looked decent in the pictures so i went to view it. It was a little rougher than expected but its all cosmetic and nothing too serious. After a short test drive i knew i wanted it. Its got 113k miles on it, 6 months tax and about 10 months mot. So quite a decent buy !!

The plan is to restore it to a decent level, whilst also converting it to a track car. Ive already sorted out harnesses, steering wheel, bucket seats, black masks and a full new sticker set. None of which is fitted yet !! LOL next on the list to get is Billie B8's and Eibachs, engine mounts, and some R888's !! It will need a full brake and suspension/bush overhaul at some point aswell !! Just need some time to work on it now !!

Heres some pics of it:

it even came with 306 Rallye mats !!

So does anyone know the car or have any info/history on it ?

Heres my previous Leon. Was 320bhp, ridiculously quick and soooo comfy to drive!! I miss it !!

Bit of an update !! ive been sourcing parts over the last couple of weeks to start the transformation from ropey old rallye to track beast !! Big grin i have already promised myself i wont get carried !! although im already finding it hard !! Big grin

anyway heres what ive been buying:

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's + R888's:

Omp steering wheel:

Baker BM GrpN engine mounts:

Hi Spec 4 pots:

6 point 3" harnesses:

Omp seat subframes: (ill be welding in seat rails once i sort a cage!!)

Ph3 'black masked' crystal headlights:

and these !!

Im going to be sorting out some bucket seats soon aswell. I really want some Cobra Evolutions but i cant justify paying nearly £600 a seat !! So i think im going to get some Motordrive seats. Anyone had any dealings with them or any feedback ??

Im also in the process of sorting my suspension out. Im going for Bilstein B8's and Eibach springs. I need to replace track rod ends, drop links, wishbone bushes, ball joints etc. aswell, so this will all be done in one big job to save stripping the suspension down several times. Just need some time off work now !!

Cheers dude! Big grin

I'm keeping the cyclones and they will be used as my road wheels. That is untill I can afford another set of light weight wheels!

Laugh

To be fair, I would be in the same boat if you sold me the brakes. I have PR 1.2's with R888's on and cyclones with road tyres.

I have seen people run the V6 brembo's using cyclones (with spacers) so sure it could be done?

I think using spacers on the road should be fine, then use bigger wheels on track and no spacers?

Yeah that's what I was thinking! It will only really get used on the road for 'testing' Big grin and for going to and from trackdays. But I've never been a fan of spacers! There's probably nothing wrong with them just I would never be fully confident driving with them!

I'll have to source some new wheels ASAP I think! If it's worth doing, might aswell do it right!

eBay usually has hubcentric spacers in the listings or somewhere like Demon Tweeks/Merlin Motorsport. Nice oray of parts btw, Looks like this going to be a good project to keep an eye on Wink Is this the Rallye that was on PH, 118k?

I'll have a look on eBay or Merlins website. Used them alot when I had my 106 rallye and can't fault their service!

Yeah it was on pistonheads. Has 113k on it though, so not sure if it's the same one!

The project won't really go any further than me collecting parts at the moment though! I've got quite a bad buldging disk in my lower back which over the last couple of days has pretty much bed bound me! It flaired up last April, but I kept working! But I can hardly walk atm so I'm definitely not able to work on the car! Just hope it calms down for the 2nd march as I've got a trackday at oulton booked!

I was unable to go! Sad I've not been able to walk properly, sit or drive since the end of jan due to my back so I had to cancel it. I'm gutted! But hopefully I'll be better in a couple of months and I'll manage to get out on track!

On a side note, I think my engine might need rebuilding soon as it's kicking out quite a bit of blue smoke! Not sure if it's due to it sitting for the last six weeks without being run! Once I'm better I'll be able to take it for it's first proper run out!
