Totally re-built engine with forged internals £2500, gt 2871 £1300, boost circuit £500, exhaust manifold and down pipe cost me £200 as i made it myself, fuel components £500, ecu and mapping £1200, atb diff £650 thats it i think. I have got as far ast the engine build and exhaust manifold atm, however once the engine is done your also looking at £1000 for decent brakes and £1200 for decent suspension. bearing in mind i paid £650 for the car it seems a bit nuts and i hope my wife does not see this post.

Right bit of an update.
My standard engine has been sold to make funds for the boosted one, which i will be collecting at the end of july from rich.
The exhaust manifold has been totally finished, with dragons tooth welded in and checked for leaks throughout the whole system. A ally rad for a 200sx has been bought as have the 2.5" boost pipes, so july will be basically building the boost circuit with dump valve position etc finalised. Since the exact position of the turbo is now finalised down to the nth degree!!! which is very important and overlooked in many builds is now mounted at the correct angle. The down pipe can also be made wich is now going to be 3" that tapers to 2.5". Plans for August is to do the fuel system. Then a big save for the turbo and ecu/ mapping!!
Also the dash is ready to be flocked and the interior has been stripped so the cage can be linked to the A and B pillars!!

Also i will see you all on sunday for a swalley and a bacon butty with the boss and me mate Gav who owns the r5 maxi turbo!!!!!

You need to take the little red plastic lugs out, then it basically falls apart.
