I need to get mine on track this coming year, I'd even enjoy taking the mondeo st tdci on track, I reckon it would be good on the bends, it would just run out of steam on the long flat sections, infact I think it would be nearly as much fun as the 6!

HSUstyle, did you put the 16v lump in there yourself??? I had been considering a 106 for the winter to keep my 6 of the salty roads. However i much prefer the Ph1 to the Ph2. So the plan would be to put a 106 gti lump in an xsi shell.
So where did you got the information, looms, parts for the conversion. I know it's a common conversion in the 106 scene, but unfortunately here in Luxembourg there are no companies like Pug1off who have eerience with this sort of conversions which means i'll have to do it with my mates in our private garage.

Any info or advice would be great. Thumbs up Thumbs up

Would a diesel be any good on track?
You could thrash it all day and be confident it won't break.

There are some pretty nice cars in here.

makes me look outside at the Rallye and think "im doing this wrong". hopefully in a few weeks it'll look something close to a "track" car

Some nice cars going about.
I bought a ready-to-track 6 a couple of years ago.

Used it on the road for a bit, then decided i couldn't afford to do all what was needed to it for the track. New tyres all round, all the brakes sorted, suspension done. So i sold it and just decided to track my road car.
