But i don't see what evidence they have? You can't judge a persons speed / driving style accurately from a long distance behind..________________________________________ Team Ducati 7482003 Subaru Impreza STi |

These are warranted Officers, their word counts for a great deal so there's your evidence. The fact that they turned around and came after you obviously means they were able to judge your driving as they wouldn't have done it for no reason. If you've been issued with a HORT1 form then just produce the necessary documents, it's nothing to worry about. ________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

I have never been pulled over for any offence and given points, only ever got those from GATSOs (own fault forgetting they were there). I did get a producer once for cutting up a Vito Police van on a Mini roundabout at 2am.________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

Had a similar thing happen to me when I was 19 and just got my 106 gti. Was about 3am and was going about 110 as I’d just over taken the car infront just after a roundabout, after a bit I slowed down for a 40 and saw blue lights behind. The police had obviously seen me driving quickly and chased after me. I pulled in and they gave me a bollocking and told me I was driving like a twat and was all over the place (I wasn’t, I was just driving quickly), said they would take me to court and I would lose my licence TBH they were being pretty nasty but I just stood there and took it, apologised and in the end they let me go with a warning and said my number plate had been put on their system so If I got stopped again I’d be in trouble. I assumed at the time they hadn’t got video footage of me speeding so wouldn’t be able to prove anything, but I think really once they stopped me and could see I wasn’t a mouthy chav they just thought it was the best way of dealing with it. I imagine I probably would have been prosecuted if I’d kicked off. Did you give them a mouthful when you were stopped? If so I imagine that’s not done you any favours. What’s the producer for? ________________________________________ Cherry Red 306 HDIChampionship White Integra DC5 Type R |

Police training involves super human powers of deduction, trigonometry and echo location so fyi they can easily know beyond reasonable doubt you were speeding even if they were driving in the opposite direction.Tell them to do one (or stop booting it close to built up areas?). |

A week after I passed I got pulled over for overtaking my mate 'on a bend' as he put it, yes it was a bend but also it was perfectly visable to see an oncoming car. He went through all the procedures of reading my rights and all sorts. Was polite and let me off with a warning. I also remember a few years ago while owning my blaze 6, a TT and a ST overtook me on a long 30mhp straight, I dropped it to catch up to see how it would end up to find out the ST following the TT was undercover and arrested him for doing 96mph, I was also pulled and called a twat god knows how many times for catching up and let off with a warning as I hadn't quite tripelled the speed limit. (this 30 road is massive and should be a 40 and it was 1 in the morning, not that it's an excuse ) The stupid things we do when were young. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |
