whats a gti6 worth these days. im gunna put mine up for sale tomorrow. w reg 66000 miles 1 owner from new! full service history, full mot full 12 months tax 3keys unmarked car. china blue. totally original standard car... lovely drive totally mint throughout. also half tank of petrol lol, cambelt just been done. ??????????????

You would really need to put it on the market to see what people would pay for it. You might get lucky and get 3000! Sounds silly but there are people who would pay that kinda money for it. It'll be worth 2000 at least. It's rare to find a clean, low mileage, fsh gti 6 nowadays! |

I think these cars, regardless of age/quality are struggling to get much above £1500 nowadays. All depends on the buyer, how fast you want to shift it and how open you are to negotiations. It's a diesel market at the moment what with all the economic slowdown malarky being throw about in the press so people are looking for petrols less than ever, hence the massive depreciation. my rallye was by no means mint but it wasnt a dog. it had just had engine rebuild and i only got £1000 for it, a 6 i think you will be lucky to get anymore than £800 unless you keep it until after christmas at least. |

i had a nile blue 6 before this 116000miles on an r192xkl reg nice car but nothing on this. some **** ran in the back off me after 3weeks of havin the car insurance paid 1450 with 200 excess |

I dont think milleage makes to much difference with them getting this old, the engines are probably one of the most reliable thing on these cars 2 standard cars, one with 60K and little maintainence and one with 160K with new bushes and suspension components, i bet the 160k er drives better. ________________________________________ |

I'd say meet in the middle and put it up for 1750-1800 and just wait if your in no rush, it will appeal to somebody at some point. I think if you get a buyer who specifically wants a mint low mileage example then you'll get your £2K, but they are few and far between. Generally people just want one, and don't mind the higher mileage "less than mint" examples which can be had for a lot less money. |

No disrespect but your car could easily have the niggles and issues that a car with double the mileage has. Most people in the market for these are happy to buy the later for sub a grand and spend a few hundred putting it right. It's a Peugeot. 2k gets you more today. Just because it is £2k and ~70K doesn't mean it won't idealy need a new drivers seat and other things that fail commonly due to the age. I don't really get what the big deal is for standard unmodified cars....especially if you're and enthusiast who will most likely mod yourself.If it were me and I was buying again....personally I would see it as a bonus if someone had already taken the time and expense of having it lowered for example. Means less outlay for me to get it where I would want it. Hindsight I should have bought a modified one in the first place but I'm happy with where mine is at now. Imo you can still get good money for the 6 in question if you are prepared to wait for the right buyer.....2200 all day long ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!'' TBH these cars fall apart with age as well as mileage so who's to say its not had parts replaced when needed?Mileage aside I'd happily pay a premium just to know its not had a hard life, been well looked after and not been through 8 or 9 owners like most for sale. A one owner from new 6 is near impossible to find so would be a good buy for someone. I would happily give you £2,250(+) ( ) for it if I was in a slightly better money situation New year sometime perhaps  GLWTS Most GTi-6' as said you would be lucky to get £1,000 for but this car is not most GTi-6'. Worth putting up for sale at just above what you are looking for.
