2.0 Zetec from a mondeo
twin weber dcoe 40 carbs
Ashley 4 branch exhaust
Ashley system
oil cooler
full 6 point roll cage
1 sparco seat and 1 cobra seat
harnesses
koni suspension
omex rev limiter
new clutch


So picked up this little beauty for not bad money ready to go its for my dad for a track car for a bit fun! few wee jobs to be done like, get rid of sun roof and pick up spare wheels, get a matching seat, an thats bout it, just got an mot stuck on it, just needed lights and wee spot of welding for mot

I've not seen car in flesh or drove it but my old man reckons it's a weapon an he has drove few wee pocket rockets!! Will find out what like on the 12th next month as were both out at knockhill

My friend used to have one of these with a very similar spec and it was fast! I quite like fords of old, then again I hate most new cars.

So that must be about 150-160bhp in something that, I'd imagine with it being stripped out, weighing around 900kgs. Should be great fun!!

I remember Ed's nova (redrallye) it weighed around the same with similar power and that used to motor along nicely. Quicker that his old Tomi mak around cadwell apparently iirc

To be precise 839kg remember no electric stuff on board at all or airbags etc.

my old mk2 not the fastest car on the road but i still had a grin from ear to ear on the back roads, plus when it broke down it was easy to push cos it weighed feck all lol

Got me looking on ebay at xr2's to see how many are left and saw this

Looks a bit of a beast, not sure about the owners claims about what cars it is quicker than either.

lurch 86 you fancy selling the peppor pots as car came with 20 track tyres!.

has been weighed and is 735kg acording to owner, but it will took along to be weighed and will be put on SOS rollers when im home to see what its puting out, cheap track fun for the old boy will see what like when i get a shot!
