Apologies, this will probably read badly! Thumbs up

I'm just trying to decide what to do, as I need to go diesel route as I'm starting to do a lot more miles and need a little more economy/comfort!

I'm kind of trying to decide whether I should fix everything that needs doing before selling up or save myself the hassle and just sell as is for less!

Basically:

Black Rallye 140k miles

The things that need doing is: Cambelt and water pump - Really needs doing asap:
I bought the parts a while back, but my mate hasn't had time to help me do it and I wouldn't attempt it without someone who knows what they are doing.

Clutch, has just started slipping, again, I have the part, but same deal as above.

Drivers side rear brake caliper needs changing, that's what the garage think anyway, as, they adjusted the caliper itself for my MOT and it soon loosened back and doesn't hold properly on the handbrake.

Other than that, I have serviced it since 2008, got loads of service history before that.

Had head gasket replaced around 3 years ago along with radiator, ran very well since then.

Exhaust consists of:
Pattern part cat converter (metal not ceramic innards) 2 or so years old

Pattern part mid section (changed a few months back) - need to try and get a longer hanger as it vibrates if accelerating from standstill on hills.

Scorpion back box.

Body work isn't perfect, there are a few car park dents and the wheels need a good refurb as the paint has bubbled/peeled.

Interior is pretty good, no real wear on the seats like a lot seem to, only thing is there is no stereo, didn't come one when I bought it, and I will be removing my aftermarket one.

It has a K&N open filter, but I do still have the original intake in the garage somewhere!

Will be going for MOT soon, tax runs out end of Jan.

Basically, this is the sort of stuff that would take me a lot of time to get around to, and I'm considering whether it is financially worth doing for what I am likely to get for it now, as I know these cars are unfortunately not worth all that much anymore and just need to get it sold really.

Opinions on, how much it would be worth with calliper/clutch/cambelt/waterpump fixed and what it would be worth as is would be really helpful!

IMO in the state it's in you'll be looking at the wrong side of £1k. All fixed up I don't think you'll get much more than £1300 for it. Reasoning being it's an old Fr]rench hatch back and it's far from perfect even once the clutch, cam belt and caliper are replaced. I'm happy to be wrong on this thoSad

I think steve is probably on the money.

There are examples with 30,40k less without needed that much work for less than 15.

I'd say £800 as is or £1500 once done.

Sadly it isnt the lowest mileage example and doesnt sound the best but is a black rallye so get it fixed as they are a dying breed
