Yeah, that's probably one of the steel belts that's snapped, I wouldn't run on it apart from nipping to the nearest tyre place...________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Can't see it being a problem. Just don't drive fast or use them over a long journey. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

welshpug! wrote: are you serious?! Yeah why not? My old man had a big boy egg in his Michelin and it was fine for months before he replaced it. He only had 5 mile journey to work on 30/40mph roads an never a problem. Personally I wouldn't do it with my car because as soon as I can see a prolem it gets sorted. Prevention is better than cure but yeah as said it's do-able. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

I'd have new tyres on that!Sod laws is the tyre that does explode at 60mph from an egg (or that f*ck-off big crack!), will be your own... ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. cwspellowe wrote: I've binned tyres for less than that! +1. I've had to bin a new tyre that was about a week old due to an egg smaller than that. Look at it another way, if it pops, you'll have to change it anyway. But, depending on how it does pop and speed etc, you'll more than likely damage the car too. Get them changed and save money in the long run. ________________________________________ My GTi6 track projectWhite Rallye project |
