Yeah, that's probably one of the steel belts that's snapped, I wouldn't run on it apart from nipping to the nearest tyre place...

cheers for that, they were a spare set, just a shame as there's plenty of thread left on them.

Been a while since I seen an egg in a tyre, I ran with one for ages but would not take a chance with that one,

Can't see it being a problem. Just don't drive fast or use them over a long journey.

Yeah why not? My old man had a big boy egg in his Michelin and it was fine for months before he replaced it.

He only had 5 mile journey to work on 30/40mph roads an never a problem.

Personally I wouldn't do it with my car because as soon as I can see a prolem it gets sorted. Prevention is better than cure Thumbs up but yeah as said it's do-able.

I'd have new tyres on that!

Sod laws is the tyre that does explode at 60mph from an egg (or that f*ck-off big crack!), will be your own...

+1. I've had to bin a new tyre that was about a week old due to an egg smaller than that.

Look at it another way, if it pops, you'll have to change it anyway. But, depending on how it does pop and speed etc, you'll more than likely damage the car too. Get them changed and save money in the long run.
