Well basically i no longer live for the 306.its time to move onto something newer than a 6/Wallye but not as expensive as the BMW was.

Que a drunk late night purchase of a Clio 172 Cup off Ebay for the princley sum of £1800.Only problem is it was in Newcastle!!!! Shock

So after an 8 hour train journy i was back where i belonged in a french shit-box!Love

Had the car 2 weeks and already started with the mods

First up is removel of the orange side repeaters or "bumble bees" as my niece calls them

Before



After



Next was a stubby aerial and a alloy footrest.




Then bought a boot net to secure all the servicing items ive been collecting.


And finally a "SPORT" badge as some little scrote had nicked it off the car under the previous owners ownership.


This weeks spending has been some Eibach Sportlines


Future plans are a cambelt and waterpump change,clutch change,full service and rear shocks plus removing this shocking anti-theft device

How did the anti theft device work? Looks awkward.

Is there any rubber on the peddles?

Also no photos of the whole of the car?

Its a U shape bar that locks the gearstick in place.

pedals are all metal ones and heres a pic of it semi clean

I thought all-metal pedals were illegal/wouldn't pass an MOT? That's why my alloy pedal covers have little rubber bits on them...

Best colour BTW...

I would get some rubber grips on the peddle to make it safe when you have wet feet.

Car looks great, love that colour.

Don't need rubber grips, just keep a pair of wellies in the car at all times. They can be your driving shoes.

That same anti theft device was removed on an episode of Autotrader. Ed China had a mare removing it, as obviously thats the idea of it.

They come with chavvy pedals as standard.

Good shout on the clear side repeaters? Are they genuine Renault 182 items? I paid nigh on £20 from the stealers I think. But they are much nicer than the very clear ones you get on ebay.

Lowering them improves the look ten fold. New rear shocks gives it a whole different feel if they are still the originals on there.

    They come from the factory with chavvy pedals.

    Agreed, Mondial FTW. But then they only did blue or silver LOL

    Yeah,the angle grinder maybe out this weekend to "help" removal of it Devil

    Yeah genuine repeaters,had them of Cliosport.net cheap like the rest of the bits and i have new shocks on order along with a host of other bits Roll eyes

    Done a few of these now the timing belts not too bad its getting the aux belt on with the bugger of a tensioner, at least the fronts come off quite easily!
