Never happen. Reason being the armco we use is only rated to 70 so for them to raise the limit requires the whole lot to be replaced.________________________________________ Team "310bhp/tonne"Team "Old Skool Kool" Team "Faster than a standard 6. No really, both of them are" |

It is being replaced though, with that concrete deflection shield they're putting in instead. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Rated to 70? Seems crazy to me. Surely they'd know people would go faster so would make it suitable for higher speeds? ________________________________________ Still watching you... |

Gotta bear in mind how long a lot of them have been there though. I'm sure they can (and do) take a higher impact happily but if they're only rated to a certain speed then can imagine the legal implications? Don't actually see why they should make them withstand a higher impact. Rated to 70mph. For what weight of vehicle? 3.5t van? Also angle of attack etc etc.f*ck me most people can't drive properly on the motorways as it is - increasing the speed of the cretins isn't going to help. We'd all go faster if the middle laners f*cked off. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Seriously tho, if there was no speed limit how fast would you really go if you were on a long journey? I for one on a long haul wouldn't be doing much more than 80 anyway regardless of what the speed limit was________________________________________ My old man wrote me a letter from prison once. It said if you don't want to end up in here, stay away from crime, women and drugs. Trouble is, that don't leave you much else to do, does it? |

I must admit I try burning it then realise that my fuel is going down too quickly then go back down to about 80 for economy. That said it is about time they gave the motorist something. That said it means more tax revenue as more fuel will be burnt. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

In the company Honda I sit between 85-90mph depending on traffic. Funny thing was, coming back from picking up the Type R doing 90, once I'd refueled and noticed the needle dropping again I dropped my speed to 80 as I was paying ________________________________________ Team "310bhp/tonne"Team "Old Skool Kool" Team "Faster than a standard 6.
