As per title, I'm going to have to sell my high boosted GTi-6. I've been lucky enough to be accepted to study medicine and I'm going to pursue my dream of becoming a surgeon.

So I can't justify keeping her, sadly. Here are some of the key facts about it:

- 408.9bhp on Chipwizards' rolling road, tuned by Wayne over two days.
- Engine built by Rich Walker at Lynx, with lower compression (than other high boosted sixes) for a more reliable engine. Has covered around 2000 miles since the build
- 310mm rotors with Brembo 4 pots
- 16 inch Comp Mos with semi slicks
- Custom paint (Mercedes Designer Black)
- KW V2 coilovers
- Rich's roller bearing wishbone bushes
- Quaife ATB
- Longlife custom exhaust
- Car has covered 120k but everything on the car is less than 20k miles old.

I'm not sure whether to break it for spares or whether it'll be worth holding out and selling it. I realise it's a somewhat niche market but it's one hell of a car and I'd absolutely love to keep it. It's mental. I bought it completely standard 5 years ago with 75k on the clock and have come a long way with it since then!

At work so only got this picture, will upload a better one later:

I've probably spent around 13k all in, but I'd put it up for maybe 8k and go from there. What do ya'll think?

Cheers for the feedback lads, hope you're all well. Not been online much lately.

Zac

Firstly congratulations on the job front Cheers

Secondly, this is one fine example of a car and if I had the money, I would be very happy to part with £8k for it Yes

Trouble is mate not many people have that money, i put mine up for sale for £6500, not one phone call or offer, think you will really struggle to sell in this climate, even breaking it, no one has any money.

Good luck with the job and glwts

So much want.

I'd have to ask that you don't put it up for sale, cos i'm going to end up getting a loan which I can't afford to pay back. Stunning motor. Good luck with it all!

I fear I am in love Love Will you swap for Mazda Mx5, a bag of Monster Munch and a Berocca?

On a serious note, from the brief spec it appears you have created a truely great car. I would do so much to own this car. Looking forward to seeing how much people think it is worth Crazy

Yeah I realise that fella. Difficult one because I'd like to keep it; money's not going to be an issue for me long term. But realistically it's gonna be stood for 5 years...such a waste. Sad

Cheers for the kind comments lads.

Same reason im gonna sell mine mate, cant be dealing with seeing it sat on its own unused No

I think 8k is a good price Yes I was perhaps looking at 5.5k for my rallye.

Great news on the future job by the way, once you qualify you will be more interested in Astons than Pugs Thumbs up

First off congratulations on the job mate,i guess the hard work is finally paying off Cheers

Its only worth what someone is willing to pay sadly.8k buys you alot of car these days and your up against Evo's 7/8,M3's etc and in todays climate 8k for a 12 year old french hatchback seems crazy.

Mine was up for 7.5k but i semi-broke it in the end just to re-coup some of the outlay and that was over 18 months ago when things werent so bad.

As others have said if you can store it do so as its not the cost that truely matters but the personal connection you have with it.

worth £8K all day long! unfortunately you will never get that, i was looking at selling mine and getting something else and the evo's etc that can be had for £7K plus are immense.

If you do decide to break pm me, might be worth seeing what rich would charge to have my car and your car for a week make mine high boost and yours low.

Might be easier to sell a mint low boost for 6k and get some wonga from me for your engine and gearbox

I'm afraid you'll not get anywhere near £8k for it. Nice car though.

Better off just putting it out of sight for a few years Yes

Sad news your thinking of selling Zac, remember peeps this was the first car to be boosted after Rich's, would be a shame to see it broken, I would garage it for a few years if you don't need the dosh, cant ever see me selling/breaking mine after all the hard work and dosh I have put into it, as I said I would garage it and not rush into a decision
