i didn't no at the time i was getting a fiberglass bonnet but now i do Cool will have to butcher the fiberglass one now. should be abit easyer then the standard on as i am only getting a single skinned one.

chris have you had your rallye weighed? my mates 106 weighs in at 890kg standard. thats what i am aiming for with my 6 LOL

all stripped now dash only, 2 buckets to go in then after the winter loose the windows and get plastic ones and fiberglass boot lid Big grin

still need to cut all the rear seat mounts out yet, forgot about them when i started painting the inside.

just weighed my new brembos and standard gti6 calipers.

brembos: 3kg
standard calipers: 6.5kg

thats over half saved on weight by putting brembos on. £200 well spent i say LOL well untill all the squeeling starts Shut up

nae idea, but i reckon its not as light as that, i say it should be about 920, but mind a cage is about 65kg, an i way about 92kg lol

got the engine mate, was nothing else i needed there, i need a thermostat housing now like and thats about it

braided fuel lines, no idea mate, made them myself Cool

was there not one there maybe it was in back of car as there should of been 1 minus the black plastic bit as i f*cked it on mine an use that aine, did you take a manifold aswell, just its part of the engine you bought from me, providning it all works, thats a bargin you got lad, an thats why i helped lol!!

na mate didnt take the manifold mate, couldnt be bothered with it LOL thats what i need the black plastic bit not, i smashed mine when i was getting the engine out,

made a start on the bottom end today what i got chris. was on 4hours with the Wd40 and wire wool cleaning it up. my hand is killing me now LOL couldnt be bothered to paint the block, just put all the gray bits of mine on to the new one Big grin hopefuly get the head on tomorrow if i get time to go pick up my head gasket and then engine can go back in AGAIN!!! and hope all is well.

i tried turning my bottom end over today and would not budge, turned the new bottom end over straight away no problem at all Big grin just what i need. hope all else is well.

hopefuly bucket seats will be getting dropped of this week aswell as i realy could do with my car back on the road by the weekend as i start my new job and have no form of transport and i am not becoming a bus w*nker Laugh my ass off

had a message of james today to say my fiberglass bonnet is ready and will soon be on its way to me this week. just hope all goes well in my new job and i can keep ontop of this engine and se it into the new year without any problems

Eddy, mind do what i said witht the oil, just incase theres any water or shite in there, so that you have no problems.

got my thermostat housing from birk today to find this Laugh my ass off




engine and box are in along with loom, all that needs doing now are oils, brakes, still waiting on brake lines, drive shafts and seats. will get most of this done tomorrow

Just a quick update befor i go to work, got a 12hour night shift and i have been up since 11am working on my car most of the time so am gona be f*cked Laugh my ass off

anyway, got my car started today, didnt run it tho as i still have no rad on yet. flushed engine thought with some shit oil, had the plugs unplugged tho as i didnt want the engine starting. emptied oul out and changed oil filter and filled back up with fresh 10/40 engine out. gearbox oil is in, power steering fluid in just need to fill brake fluid with new Dot 5.1 brake fluid.

brembos have had a fresh coat of paint, braided brake lines fitted and i got my bucket seats yesterday, just need them fitting now.

tomorrow i have red and front end to put on, brakes to bleed and seats to fit if i can and let my engine run over to see it its ok
