Tom, are you not using 803 injectors, if so you will never see 400hp as they are rated to 360hp!

803's "greens in the cossie scene" wont see 400 either Big grin

you will need blue, of possible greys,

400bhp in a cossie on blues, is RIGHT on their limit, around 97% duty cycle, so i would be looking at greys ( i used these on my escort)

i used greens on my saff but that was only 350bhp.

though these days people use Siemens 55lb Blacks for over 350bhp upto around 400ish i think

I agree with the above, it does seem that the siemens are the ones to go for. I have looked at what the cosworth boys use, most do use 803 but only because they are usin the chip to suit 803s.

the 803's are max'ed out on "genuine" 350

and yeah been mapped to suit, and you "must" ONLY run a injectors which the chip is written for Smile

Im thinkin of using the siemens for my build. with regards to the inlet, i dont think there is a reason for using the mi inlet however i believe it was cut open to remove the trumpets so its less restrictive?

interesting...

ideally yo need trumpets of some sort to control the airflow equally into the ports.

even the MIS (3k) manifold uses them

the cossie engine does as standard too

wonder if the gti6 inlet has bigger trumpets inside?

I dont see how it ran 400 HP as the injectors are limited to 350-360, maybe 400 lbs/ft torque?

I think power wise was around 400 ft/lbs, prob around 350bhp, want to get it on a dyno at some point just to know what she makes, yes its an mi and gti6 mated together.

It is a t34 turbo, custom built for better spooling time, comes on full boost around 4k.

Not sure on exhaust housing will let you know

Am running greens aswell, so looking at 360bhp because was told am on maximum cycle, might have to change these at some point and change the gearbox for a higher top speed, always something to do

Not sure on gearbox, maybe swapping a syncro in the 6 box for a diesel item, or a 5 speed might help for launching the car, the gti6 box has too high a first gear, and for a turbo takes forever to get going

yes bosch 803s do fit using the standard inlet. I think im going to get the siemens 55lb black iirc injectors, im only hoping for 300hp 350 lbs ft torque at 1.2 bar boost. I can then turn the boost up once i learn how to use the right pedal again!

Only and most important question is can i use the siemens and have them running at a low flow rate compared to runnung 803s at half the max flow rate.

Surely you would get more torque than that, and more torque than horse power. CR will be 8.1. Not building mine for a while just collecting parts.

I don't do pub figures,

At 21 psi my Cossie was 300bhp at the wheels.

I know people that run a spike of 35psi at mid range and tail off to limiter, and others that run 30 psi all the way,

the turbos do not last at this spec, where as my turbo was fine and did 15k miles with no issues.
