rallyeash wrote: dont think the above pic cost 1k! maybe the first one though.. The last pic its only the inlet that is new. But with that inlet it is bigger injectors and a new ecu management. So say around 1,5k for 400hp.... But my friend that build this car has a peugeot workshop and his father was the first one in sweden to do the mi16 conversion to a 205. So the knowledge and tools he have. ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 Dimma Coupé. |

spiky wrote: just becuase a SC kit has been made for the gti6 and has been reliable, doesnt make it the "best" conversion. i would sooner have a Turbo on my 205 than an SC, and i'm pretty dam sure for 4k it can be done and make much more power than 250bhp. there are a lot of SC blinkers here, dont get me wrong if a SC kit comes up cheap i will buy it, but i'm currently looking at turbo's too. and fitting a t3 or t34 on a gti6 engine would be making around 300-330 on around 20psi You would get more power until it detonated and melted the pistons. The low boost SC kits run 7 psi of boost for a reason. If you got a decompression plate you could probs add more boost though. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

on a std engine, i'd not run much boost for the reason you have mentioned,it would need lower C/R to run 20psi but to run a turbo on lower boost would still cost less then a SC kit ________________________________________ Do you need a 205 > 306 gti6 plug and go engine loom? iirc the supply is on the front of the block near the oil temp sensor, blanked usually and return there is a blank at the back near the lower engine mount. |

having owned and built loads of different pugs with various engines from s/c mi16 , 8v turbo's and 16v turbos also driven loads of others and none so far have came close to the 16v turbo but for a cheap alternative a 8v turbo can also be made into alot of fun ________________________________________ SOS Motorsportwww.sosmotorsport.co.uk 450bhp 205 16v Turbo www.facebook.com/pages/SOS-Motorsport/159917677353556 |
