What I meant was, they should have carried on making some more so the stock lasted a little bit longer. Or is that me just being selfish? ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Well I went to start the car before last weekend and the battery was dead so after a 2 day charge it was still dead that's where the 4 year warranty came in, so off to halfords for a new one She sounded lovely again, then I had a panic when the rotrex oil was spilling out of the breather oil cap on the reservoir, turns out I've overfilled it, it should be topped up with the engine running and the revs raised slightly, then it should go between the min and max apparently. So after finding this information out I restarted her the next day, she sounded lovely till she got warm then sounded s**t. I noticed the widband gauge had froze at 14.7. Seems my lambda is shagged now I'm not having much luck really but the seller efi parts has offered me a new sensor for cost price as its not covered under warranty. So after fixing the boost pipes, then the oil cooler then the battery I now need a new lambda. As I run a dta ecu I only have the wideband lambda sensor so any information i see on the gauge is what the ecu is seeing aswell. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have no issues from now on. I'm also thinking of a custom intercooler and rad set up. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Well here's a few pics Jamma style Bosch 044 external pump fitted: To a swirl pot from rich w, now I must say it is excellent quality stainless steel and the welding is to highest standards possible, the only thing I could complain about is the lack of beads on the outlets but it doesn't and won't leak so there not totally necessary, it would be better with them though even just for peace of mind: Awesome quality metal and welding on this I'm really happy with, the bosch pump is a noisy thing but it doesn't bother me. One thing i do need to do is change the jubilee clips and mounting nuts/bolts to stainless ones and get stainless braided hose and use the fancy anodised blue and red connectors (I've forgot what they're called). Here's some pics of the power flow exhaust, why the boxes have signs of rust when it's stainless I don't know and the tailpipe needs metal polishing all the time but it sounds nice: My manifold also looks rusty: Is it the extra heat from all the extra power it's now running? New digital boost gauge and wideband lambda gauge from aem fitted: The sensor for the boost gauge is fitted here in the manifold, it's the big one you can see plumbed into the end of the manifold out of the 3 3 bar Cosworth map sensor fitted: 8 rib belt and pulley conversion: A new 8 rib alternator pulley and p/s pulley converter had to be engineered for this along with new pulleys and tensioners eg Lower strut brace fitted, looks great under here with the fresh powder coated subframe, wishbones, roll bar eg : A few pics of the engine bay, I keep finding loads of bits to paint/powder coat and freshen up yet: I'm going to change this reducer to a black viper one as I think they're excellent quality, the elbow on the end of the throttle body needs extending to be able to use them mighty mikalors here, which will get done at a later date, besides doing a excellent job of clamping I also think they look much better athstetically than the normal s**tty worm drive jubilee clips Bailey internal blow off/dump valve: You may notice from the pics above that the outlet/pipe from the rad to the heat exchanger is not there that's because this is a different rad, the outlet is now here: It then passes over the oil cooler thermostatic plate into the heat exchanger. It had to be done for fit net of the bigger charger and it's a great idea but it's slightly thinner core than before so I'm not sure how it's going to do under hard driving eg yet but I'm thinking of going down the custom rad and cooler route of its affordable. Nice shiny air scoop and manifold heat shield: Shiny top brace mounts: I've got to start another reply I'm scared I'm going lose this ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Now for the oil coolers and intercooler:Note the milk crate, that's cos I'm a short arse. There is only space on the intercooler to use normal worm drives there due to the welded bead and the space between this and the intercooler itself Carbon fibre vinyl wrapped petrol cap covers What are people's oppinion on fitting this fire extinguisher here: A couple of bad bits: Chrome plated brackets from a s**thole of a place with useless twats running it in castelford rusty already: Rusty powder coated brake calipers, had 7 months use from them, 2 month before it started: Im not really fussed about the gearbox plate been rusty as I've got a very low mileage one waiting to be fitted along with a qaiffe LSD and a xsara steering rack I'm also after a set of 330mm brembo brakes from the megane, I think I will save for these from new. Here's how she looks today: Yep on stands again Note my half finished drive and wall, has anybody noticed I take a fair while finishing things I start? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Love the carbon fibre coil-pack cover and the new heat shield Yes I'm going to get this done, maybe stainless braided ones?? I also need to get the bracket at the back which holds the heat shield and pipes as its looking rusty along with the engine lift points, strut top mount cups and a couple of other bits and bobs. Thanks for comments folk I'll be updating with the super duper high boost engine build pics soon. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I've dropped a bollock, I had the fuel rail zinc plated and I've etch primed and normal primed it:And when I paint i don't do it sparingly But I've now decided after all that work, I'm going to chop the 3 welded on threads off and have it smooth as they're not used anymore and it will look better smooth but seen as I used a full can of primer on it I'll have to go but another can! ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I need a better looking elbow for the catch tank and the throttle cable bracket on the t/b needs painting Brown plug isn't used with the dta I can't remember what it's for but I presume it sent the temp to the fan relay box that then turned the fans on, the dta now tells the fans to go on and the old fan relay triangle plastic box thing has gone. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Yeah it's just velcro, it's for a hgv but they are less likely to roll a few times if crashed. Would I get a metal catch bracket to fit this extinguisher easy enough? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Watch out with the Mikalors bud, they are overkill and can actually crush the thin ally boost pipes very easily if overdone. the bumper found its way back on today:chopped the lugs off the fuel rail, it would of been so much better doing this before i primered it, ive got to smooth out the lower pits using a few coats of filler primer and sanding: fir extinguisher would have to go here if full seat movement is to be kept: it does feel sturdy enough with just the 1 strap but a steel strap would be much better. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
