Absolutely amazed your your work and effort mate on this car I would love to be you when it's complete and you turn the key n go for a spin it's nice to see someone spend the time and money on a real drivers car rather than trying to get 600 hp put of a supra or evo you have to keep this machine for a long time now I wish I had the funds n room to do this |

the car has been running s**te and down on power, pugjim has hadA Look around the car and fitted some oversized injector seals as it was leaking boost and fuel residue from where the injectors meet the inlet. He also stripped my beam to check it over as there's a knocking noise, the beam bearings eg was fine but some incorrect bolts was used in the torsion bars so these have been changed for the proper studs. The knocking noise seems to be the exhaust catching the floor, the mounts are not so good so new ones are on there way to me. I've only fetched the car back Home and had a quick run in it but in the 25 miles I've covered there's a big difference in how smooth and how much better it sounds, I can't wait to give it a good testing, hopefully I will be happy it's ready for mapping but I've got a few plans for the intercooler and rad setup and exhaust first. Anyway I got home from jims and put the car on its regular home (axle stands) off came these: And on went these: While the wheels was off I noticed that my newly repaired alloy wheel had cracked already: maybe if it had been drilled or a v cut out with a grinder in the wheel before welding the weld would of been all the way through the metal and therefore would be a solid weld, also instead of grinding it down after it would of been better to leave the weld there for strength. To be Fair the Wheel was a mess: I want to fit a tyre monitering system, but most of them are to big and bulky as I want to integrate it into the dash to look kind of oe, maybe use the compartment/slot above the ashtray and make the surround Eg from carbon fibre or try and match the rest of the surround for the radio eg. The stack system is a 52mm round gauge so will fit in a Pod and look good but its also battery-less and the sensors are only 10g but I've just seen the price so I think I'll give that a miss it's a whopping £1499 ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I havnt fitted the brakes fully yet, one side is like above the other currently has no calipersOr disc and I need to make up a new copper Brake pipe as I f**ked it up removing it I'm just deciding wether to get some new brake flexis made up as the fitting is slightly different on the new ones, not in a bad way or anything but if I use the new ones I'll have to get some p clips to mount the flexi to the hub, I'll explain and get pics later. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I can't remember where I got my gauge pod from but I'd like another for the passenger side so I can get 3 more gauges in: charger fluid temp Engine oil pressure Voltmeter Other improvements I have planned in the future before mapping is: 1: exhaust - currently powerflow but I want to go different/one off 2: intercooler and radiator - Im going for a custom build with the pipework improved greatly. 3: clutch- I'm looking into the best available, I want to try something different. 4: Diff - I have a quaiffe LSD that's payed for and waiting at lynx 5: gauges - as mentioned above 6: something else - cant remember 7: REMAP ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I fitted the spring and rubber from the oe lines to my newBraided ones: Gluing the rubber back together with superglue. I need to get a new retaining bracket as the tab snapped off, it would of been cheaper and easier to just use the rubber p clips mentioned before but I'm halfway there now: Gives me an excuse to loose the s**tty rust plated ones and put some powder coated black ones on there, I'll get a few brackets eg from the engine bay to get done black at the same time. Anyway here's a few pics of lines And brakes all ready to bleed up: I got some new stainless disc grub screws off e bay, bag of 10 for £2.75 so I drilled the one out thy had been snapped off for a while and then cleaned The threads up: ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Nice shiny new fuel rail that pugjim fitted for me, it's the same one pictured above that was gold with the zinc plating, after I got that I cut off the 3 threads that the clips used to fit on. there's a hobbible screeching noise on first start up, sounds like a pulley bearing is knackered but it goes away if I give the belt a quick squirt of wd40, the charger is silent with the metal bar against my ear test so at least it's not that ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I've just cut out my old ultrasonics sensors and soldered in a set of 3 month old ones from a phase 2 I bought second hand, it's all working as it should be so far so only time will tell if its sorted and my neighbours can stop hating me, actually it only happened one night to me and I switched them off after that but Jim said it happened to him also!I've also fitted my stereo facia that fills in the gap around the head unit, I think it looks much better: And my auto dim mirror from a 307/308: I've yet to wire it up, earth, ignition live and reverse switch wires. I need a new bracket first as mine is loose and I'm going to drill through the ball to feed the wiring through. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Brakes are done I just need to clip the flexis in place using either new standard brackets or some rubber inserted p clips. I need a wheel and I forgot about the power run, that I will book in over next few week.
