Today I've removed the rear wheels, put the back end on axle stands like the front and spent hours cleaning all the salt and shit from underneath her and in all the arches eg with the jetwash and some tfr. Then after polishing my new heatshield up last night and making the bottom mount holes bigger I fitted it: I also removed the charger oil cooler and sprayed it to match the new one. I've also bought some bits to stop my boost hoses popping off, and the pipework will be getting a major tweaking, I will be using these: And I've got some mikalor w4 clamps a size smaller than the ones I already have, I couldn't believe how dear they was just for a stainless bolt, they doubled in price from a stainless clip with zinc Bolt to fully stainless ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

It is pretty bad really. I can understand them not making some cosmetic trims etc for the 306 anymore, but that heatshield is quite an important part of the everyday running of the vehicle and they suddenly decide to stop producing it...________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Fitted both oil coolers after a few coats of black, dropped the oil and changed the filter, heres the Charger oil cooler and new fabricated towing eye rich made as the original towing eye had to be removed to make space for the oil cooler, there's a nice neat hole in the front spoiler that the rowing eye screws through when needed:Got the new silicons fitted: There not going nowhere now. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

These Murray clips look just like a spring loaded normal worm drive hose clamp, I'd much rather have a nut bolt type like the mikalor, i might order 1 Murray clamp to have a gander at them, I still need a couple of clamps as strong as but not as wide asThe mikalors. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Just send me postage and I'm happy, £2-£5 whatever it is, send me your address and sort the postage out after I've sent it. I cut an extra 15 mm from here to leave a 55mm gap between the pipes to allow the baffle hose to do its job, beaded ends will be fitted in a month or two at the same time as the xsara rack, new gearbox and quaife diff:Took 20mm from this one: I'm going to change these blue hoses for black viper ones, may use jump ones if I can get them to fit, as crossmember may be in the way: Just received this nice new zinc coated injector rail from rich w, Im thinking of taking it to get it painted black chrome like my wheels instead of the Lamborghini dark silver. It looks too good to paint though. I've put some fresh royal purple in now, I'm not starting her up though as its dark now and i need to give it a once over and check that the rotrex travtion fluid is primed up ready. I've also ordered a bag of push clips for the wheel arch covers, they made me get 20 at 90p each , also ordered a new battery negative lead frOm Peugeot as mine is cracked on the battety pole clamp, I noticed when I was cleaning the earths up, it's hardly tight so that's probably why I've noticed it's a bit slow to turn over at first. I've got a feeling I'm going to get some real fun frOm this car this year, and the kids will love spending the day at donnington watching me fly round, should make a nice family day out. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
