Hardly... Thought i'd try to cook one as we had a bit of puff pastry and a few apples going spare. Didn't go quite to plan, but was good all the same

had a look at the 406 wiring diagrams earlier, looks quite straightforward A diagram showing the 406 (and 306) multiplugs would help a lot time wise but doesn't matter greatly. Having the 306 loom would have made it easier Think I might know someone with a diagram of a 306 plugs anyway, if I can figure it out I'll have a crack at fitting the immobiliser too ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

done a handful now, they're all the same in principle on these French cars, helps with the later cars that most of the wires are numbered and use the same numbering principle across the 06 ranges I've also helped do two 1.6 16v Vitara FI engines into 1000 and 1300cc carbed Suzuki SJ's, Jap wiring is nuts ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I think we've now got everything to do the conversion. Flywheel is back and lightened by exactly a kilo - still a fairly hefty 7.1, but every little helps, especially as its all on the outer part of it.Hope to get on with it properly tomorrow Will have a camera then too! ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Been trial fitting the engine and box. It is going to sit about 2 to 3 inches further back than Carl's. Although this will mean more cutting of the subframe it will help the weight distribution.Anyway fair way to go yet... ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

In the middle of the trial fitting marathon (it went in and out about 15 times...) SES ally top mount kit Bonnet shuts! Yay! The difference between a shit pattern part cat and what mine should have looked like. (chin up CUJ) Wiring wizard - shimmy you need... Finally swinging freely on its top mounts with no driveshaft, exhaust or diff clouting. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Quite a few things still to be done - subframe needs welding, clutch arm, driveshafts and finally putting the thing in ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Carl Its from a guy on ebay. Would make your engine sit a lot further back in the bay - the subframe on mine will have had a lot more modification than yours. Will post pics in the future when it is welded. Ebay Link ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

standard 306 mount, shiny bit ias just a replacement bracket for the 406 gearbox as it didnt come with it, its stamped 96 - 2 years older than the donor. Had to come from France as well!It has now been modified to bring the gearbox end up about 10mm over standard. Also dropping the front of the subframe by about 6mm. The big problem is getting decent driveshaft clearance on the subframe - the diff and exhaust is easy enough as you can remove/replace metal, but the driveshafts foul on the wishbone mounts which can't be cut. The top mount will also be spaced up by about 5mm. Still fits under the bonnet ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
