Nothing has really changed if you looked at it though really!Doh

Today's update:

Driveshaft back in after having its melted gaitor changed.
PAS feed pipe sorted and attempt on the main pressure pipe. Ran out of light and batteries.
Clutch cable changed and head scratching commenced.
Alarm siren moved and tried to fit in a headlight to find a PAS pulley in the way.
Bottom mount bracket taken off and further modified.

Quite a bit to do tomorrow still...
PAS pipe, clutch cable, bit of wiring, front end on and a fair bit of trim to reattach. Oh and the exhaust which is looking like a complete tit.Sad

Update:
Clutch cable now working, could do with a slight angle adjustment, but otherwise fine. Thats just using a cable and no hydraulics.
Radiator in place, fan + shroud chopped a lot, slam panel also chopped quite a lot as its a 406 rad (its new and I can't afford another one), front bumper and headlights also on.
Exhaust is done too (another huge thanks to Ray!) with the gear cables secured out of the way.

Still to do:
Re-route the ECU to sit in the usual battery box.
Create a mount for the battery box (got binned by accident)
Sort out the header tank and fix the front on properly.
Finally drop the subframe off again to get the PAS pipe on (f*cking thing).

Nearly there - the black masks look lush Big grin

Yeah test drive wouldn't be a problem Carl.
Photos coming shortly Smile

I won't get rid of it Ash, but going to have to use the headrests or find some others - going to modify the spare rear seat i've got to have headrests and a bit more padding. Basically for our trip to France as one of us is going to be sat on it for a few miles. Doh

Good luck with the seats Adam. I'd looked at if you could do that but the seat back itself doesn't appear to have inbuilt runners for the plastic housing to fit in like other non head rest seat backs do.

If you decide you need a set I've got some in the loft.

Is there a lot of bodies stuff in your loft?! LOL

A few photos:

Yes it needs a good clean and yes there is still a PAS pipe hanging off the bottom. Engine bay is being tidied up this morning as its a mess. Smile

Seems to sit at the same height as before, amazing considering the 700kg extra on board Roll eyes

looking good adam.. be careful with that slam panel as it could start to twist unless you reinforce it somehow?

slam panel is still double skinned, only joined at the front edge only for the time being, looks easy enough to add some sheet metal into the gap at the back to stiffen it back up a bit, not that it's particularly weak at the moment anyway.

I started looking at moving the ecu across the engine bay to sit in the original battery box earlier whilst Adam was getting extreemely frustrated with the interior Ninja

I need to source some lengths of appropriately coloured wiring to extend the injector coilpack and Evap solenoid wiring as well as half a dozen ecu switching wires from the two relays, nothing difficult, just time consuming Smile

as most people know, this beasty rolls on 195 50 15 Michelin PE2's wrapped around Magnesium Speedline 1508's in 7x15 Big grin

f*cking french seat bolt design. Grrrrr.... To be fair I was more frustrated with the lack of time on it today.

Thanks for the advice Mab - there is still quite a bit of metal there, but I will probably ask Ray to weld in a panel to make it a box section again. Was just a temporary measure to see how much we had to chop out before it gets sorted properly.

I'd have thought its got another 12 hours work before its rolling properly. If everything works ok!

Interior is nearly done, but its the PAS pipe thats the main issue.

Yes there is if I could get an engine through the hatch I'd have one up there too.

That'll be the n/s/f drivers bolt by any chance.

Why did the slam panel need chopping?

Also have you not looked at running a twin fan set up or is the one fan adequate at cooling a v6?

Answers are probably in the 15 pages but not going to have a look.

No they aren't in the last 15 pages. No idea if the one will be enough yet - it just doesn't involve any wiring changes at the moment and i've probably sold the 406 fans.

The slam panel needed the chop as the 406 rad is too tall to fit under it. As its new, slam panels are easy to come by/cheap and I can't afford a VR6 / 407 one its stopping there. Smile

Yes its the nsf drivers bolt. Farking thing. It will be sorted with a bit more patience.

I'd suggest a second pair of hands and good illumination so they can lift the cowel and shine a light so you can see when you're in the bolt with the ratchet.

I f*cking hate that bolt takes longer to do that than the rest of the interior removal.

We could have done with your help earlier, my torsion bars would not shift, especially considering we took it all apart and then found out all the attatchments for the slide hammer were f*cked Laugh my ass off

You fanny LOL The 205 was fired up without a fwd exh manifold fitted. Stuf215 from drivers laughed at the flames coming from it. It was only a quick blip on then off to check the wiring worked. You stil having a problem with the fuel pump wiring? If so what?

You've missed the video link then? Razz
The wiring to the control relay for the fuel pump is going to be modified to come from the switched live through the 306 inertia switch rather than the ECU. Otherwise there is no inertia switch and no idea at the moment why its not working properly.

No I saw it, but there was no mention of him sorting it. The fuel pump was a funny old thing on the 205 too - thats why I was wondering Smile

Thats cos he hasn't - that was just started with a live added to the relay to make the pump work. Basicaly I think we'll just go around it - we've tried a few things with it already with no result. Fairly sure its the auto park switch circuit which is the problem - no data in autodata to help.

What did you do?
