Arse. Yeah i'll sort that out. Driveshaft is now 27mm longer and was nice to see the machine shop put in pretty long splints, certainly longer than I thought they were anyway. Got a bit more confidence in them now No chance on getting anything done tomorrow now what with vinyl suppliers being arses today and the worlds supply of new work. Can't complain, but i'm getting bored of the 406 with its increasingly loud PAS pump. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Plumbing, welding and wiring i think. My mechanic is on 72 hours a week now so has little time to work on it. ________________________________________ Team V6 |

The plumbing isn't too bad at all, although I have to still make mine look good. Wiring seems fairly logical from the small amount of fault finding I did with Mei the other day. Might get the exhaust sorted/welded tomorrow but unlikely! What welding do you need to do? Are you using the SES top mount and chopping the subframe, or chopping the front cross member and using the 406 top mount? ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Well i think the exhaust needs welding up, and a few other bits. Think he got a top mount made for it, instead of buying the ses one. I know he cut the crossmember off though. Im not that sure where its at though. Thinking of binning it and just putting a new 6 engine in.________________________________________ Team V6 |

You get to a point though where its easier to finish it rather than try to go back to the old engine. Your main issue though will be finding a decent engine at a decent price, then getting the cambelt, new clutch sorted etc.Its all the other stuff that takes ages - PAS pipe routing is one thing you really need to sort out. The exhaust manifold gets in the way quite a lot. Your might sit further forward so you might not have those issues. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I PM'd ade down in Cornwall BTW, he said the ECU's are the same for manual/auto, doesn't explain why I've seen two ECU part numbers though Hopefully I can figure out what's stopping the ECU from running the fuel pump, Ade did confirm which wire/ecu pin triggers the relay and which to check that have permanent lives ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
