Anyone had isofix fitted to their 6 at a dealer ?

Of bought the part and fitted it themselves ?

Need isofix in my next car and I'd like to get back in a six

They were all fitted at dealer, its a bar with a metal plate attached to it. I kept the passenger side out of my astor to put in the bianca but havent yet. The bar bolts in under the rear seat back using the same bolts and the plate has 3 rivets through which you would probably need to drill in your boot floor. The isofix hoops themselves are welded to the bar.

You will need 2 seperate ones if you want both side isofix'ed'.

Cheers for that Will, however with Mei's pricing info I think I'll be looking about at scrappy's and people breaking 306's as they are a tad pricey.

I only need one side so will have to keep my eyes open.

I take it they are riveted to the shell ?

Are they mostly in estate cars ?

And if so, are they all inter-changeable ?

Quite a few people have them in Hatches and presumably there all the same. Certainly are the same between my phase 2 and phase 3 6's. Wink

Plenty around I would have thought, pm Jonnie205 and pugplus, they will prob have one lying around. You need the longer one of the pair Wink

Unless you want both sides, I only have the longer one as it's the one that goes behind the pass seat. The shorter one goes behind the drivers being the securing bolts are different distances apart Wink

Is a possibility mate, I dont get home from work till about 7pm so totally depends on how my day was.

By the looks of things I need to unbolt the rear part of the rear seats, then pop-rivet these ISOFIX plates onto the shell and then bolt the rear seat parts back in through the ISOFIX

Thats exactly what you need to do Wink You may need to drill the holes into the shell yourself.

Try putting a thread in the "wanted" section.

As a bit of info on this, apparently it only became law in around 2005 that cars should be fitted with the brackets so its not often they are found in older cars.
