you'll soon know if they are or not, there is no budging the base once it's in and if what your saying is true and the lugs are connected the boot floor/chassis Wink

Well being dealer fit, and bearing in mind quite a few GTi 6's were fleet cars, and the rest probably bought by older people I doubt many people specced them with the ISOFIX.

Seems quite a few 4-5 door models kicking around are fitted with them looking at google.

Also I don't know when ISOFIX was properly introduced, but I also suspect that it might have been near the end of GTi 6 production.

It might have been done a bit later than the car actually leaving the dealership, by the 2nd owner or something! I guess it would be towards year 2000 or so because ISOFIX didnt really exist before then!

I believe i have these as well actually, i've got my cargo net attached to them, never knew they were isofix, as the isofix in my mates clio has the square bits in the front of the seats.

I thought thats what they were when I found them in my 6...

Strange as mine was a company car from new

**edit**

servicebox states:

CHILD SEAT ANCHORING POINTS WITHOUT CHILD SEAT MOUNTING

For my car so must of been added by another owner - although saying that, servicebox shows them (in the diagrams) but there are no part numbers available Crazy

They were all fitted at dealer, its a bar with a metal plate attached to it. I kept the passenger side out of my astor to put in the bianca but havent yet. The bar bolts in under the rear seat back using the same bolts and the plate has 3 rivets through which you would probably need to drill in your boot floor. The isofix hoops themselves are welded to the bar.

You will need 2 seperate ones if you want both side isofix'ed'.
