yep hydraulic clutch as the ml5t box uses one as standard so i just need to get a pipe made up that goes from standard union to the poxy standard fitting. the box is from compbrake and i know how w*nk comp brake are surposed to be, but its not to bad tbh.

They won't stay on, trust me, first dyno run, they will blow off, and you will have wasted your time and cash booking the session. A local race team or anyone that makes ally radiators etc should have the swaging machine and they would only charge beer money to put the swages in as it takes no time at all. Just a thought, but bear in mind that when the hoses warm up they soften, oily air will work its way under the rubber and act as a luricant, and they will work loose as the engine moves. Something to think about thats all.

These boys are local, if they don't have the tool I bet they could put you in cotact with someone nearby that does.

Not a clicky:

Be good to see how it goes, I was thinking of using their pedal box too. Did you go for their budget range of master cylinders? Only I've heard some horror stories about those. I was going to use a combination of their box, but with Girling or AP master cylinders.

p.s lol
small update

turned the inside of the adapter plate out with a boring tool as it wasnt big enough for the metal hose outlet that peugeot supplied me with.

Then today ive been out and made a plate and fitted the resevoirs for the front, rear brakes, and clutch.

I've only ever been in the workshop a couple of times. That is mental, eventually an engine dyno and a chassis dyno too.

Do you drive a blue XSI?

we have an engine dyno, apparently it works though? was using the head benchflow tester today aswell, seems to work nicely.
And yeah, just picked it up a few days back, dark blue 306 xsi with standard xsi alloy.

I saw you in the shell garage a bit ago I was in the black fiesta next to you.

Whenever I ask Steve about the engine dyno the deadline for it being ready seems to slip.

got the engine back in today, however the 406 gearbox uses a different design of mount and so was 10mm short of the hole :S its also higher mounted so the gearbox sits low. Ive modified as much as i can without weakening the mount, but still at an angle.
Does this look ok? all the mounts are in, so its just the driveshafts im worried about really. cheers

also heat wrapped the manifold in blue Wink

i wouldnt like to leave it like that tbh. looks a bit worrying and isnt going to do the driveshafts much good. cant you get a bracket/mount knocked up atall?

It isnt going anywhere so to speak, im just worried about the driveshafts as you say and maybe oil starvation around corners.
I might make one out of some 4mm steel plate and then just space it to get the right height, do you think itll be ok to run on a RR like it though just until its mapped and got a power output for my uni project.

Hello sir.

I'm going to turbocharge the dimma and i was wondering about your setup.

You're using the s16 pistons and crank in the xu10j2te engine block?

With the decompressionplate, what are the compression you think?

Regards

Can I ask why the j2te block?
What would the comp be on a standard s16 engine?

sorry mate, it's just so interesting Big grin

the compression would be exactly the same as its a common crank. Im using the block as its already from a turbo engine so has turbo feed and return ports, and hopefully should be a bit more sturdy.

another update.

another gearbox mount has been fabricated so the engine sits straight now.

the intercooler and rad have been refitted and mounted properly

the wastegate is refitted and now fits under the bonnet and also has a small screamer pipe on Big grin the blow off valve is also fitted

the plumbing is done for the wastegate and blow off so they open when they should, and the extra slim fan is fitted 50mm Big grin

finally spent the night with my bro tacking this downpipe up Smile

cheers
