Fuse board supplies everything in the car, switches are for ignition, fuel pump, rain light, headed screen and fan. Dampers are 205 Group N one converted to fit, top mounts are 205 Compbrake items, but only give 2.5ish negative camber so I need to either get some new hubs or wishbones at somepoint!Clocks reset everytime you turn the kill switch on, and if you cut again before they go to zero they freeze like that! Got the beam fitted today, Miles got the height spot on, it's got a good ammount of toe and camber, and next to no droop with the 25mm torsion bars. Carbon door cards and quick shift are now also fitted, just need to sort a leaky brake fitting tomorrow and it's pretty much ready for it's first outing at Brands in 3 weeks. ________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

All the FWD cars I've been involved with running or driven have always run best on R888s with around 4 degrees negative on the front, they work with less, but just not as good on turn in. Think I may start a seperate thread on this as I may well have to make something to suit, thinking along the lines of new extended ball joints, and converted to a sperical bearing to allow a spacer to be used to get the geometry correct once the car is lowered a lot. Just like my old Seat Cupra basically!Camber is bang on 3 both sides Miles, toe was equal but can't remember how much now! Camber and toe is achieved by machining the trailing arms to suit, Martin from on here did the work for me. Got the final few bits sorted today, just engine and gearbox oil to change, new MOT, check the mapping, some rollcage padding to fit and the remaining stickers and I'm good to go! ________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

Speak to martin about getting more camber in the front hubs, I remember him sorting something with the hub carriers with an oversized hub-stut clamp with an eccentric+angled shim, much like the group A 205/309 hubs.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Nah not unless you give me silly money.Ah ok, did Peugeot Sport ever make anything similar for the 306? Any reason that the 205 ones can't be used?! Been a while since I've looked at a 205 hub! ________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

I don't know if there was anything like that for the 306, might be an idea to ask Carl Chambers nicely if you can have a peek at his Touring car.For using 205 hubs on a 306, they use a smaller 16mm balljoint pin like a phase 1 306 so they may need replacing more often, not that they are expensive. (have to be 1.9 hubs to fit the driveshafts and discs) they're also not the hollow cast construction of later 306 hubs, though I don't think that affects them much. There's also the factor of getting hold of any, I only remember seeing one set on ebay or the forums in the past few years. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Same fitting in the damper area so the theory will suit both, I know the ones I had on my 309 when sleeved to gain some neggy which was a direct copy of the old PTS one's.I would think that any 306 phase 1 hub would be fine, I know most 309's used the 205 1.9 type hub. ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

Mmm... Thank you both for the info! Will give Martin a shout as he is also making some new hubs for his. Where did you get them sleeved Miles? Something you can still have done? Or do you still have the 309 ones so we could get them copied?! Just seen the 306 Peugeot Sport wishbone kit, but at something silly like £700 plus VAT I'll exhaust all other avenues first! Still like the idea of a new design of ball joint, as they could be bolt on and could be supplied as a kit once developed.________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

I just recently sold to Sweden my front hubs with extra camber Basically the socket for the damper was drilled out at an angle and sleeves made up to clump the strut. Ash got mine done, but unless several sets are machined it is not economical to do any more. I think that Skip Brown can do the machining as well.I am actually working on some new top mounts with extra 2 deg of castor and adjustable camber 1 to ~4deg. Not sure when they are going to be ready - just finishing the draft drawings. ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye Project threadWhiteBMW M140i |

Trackday has been and gone, few issues to fix, nothing major though. I have just machined the front hubs to give an extra 2 degrees negative, will be fitted in the next week or so. If anyone wants any making let me know, be about £240 plus P&P if bare hubs are supplied, need the bearings removing before the work is carried out. I can do that for a few extra quid if needed.________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |
