Well after selling one of my kits to a very picky individual he said he was going to do something regards the intercooler pipes, well last week i gets a phone call saying he had cracked it.

About an hour ago i gets these pictures, you have to hand it to him he has done a superb job and it works very well. What you see is a standard radiator and all the pipework ie coolant hoses standard and these sneaky little boost pipes all sqeezed to fit.

These will be offered with the kits i supply for an extra fee including all the pipes and modified intercooler.

They are being made for the job so are custom done, they are not cheap but well worth it to have a smart looking conversion and the pipework well out of the way, plus having all the bends mandrel bent helps the air flow so it will flow better and is less restrictive.

Looks like a 205 gti/derv rad. Very nice job on the pipes,beats the usual under the crossmember arrangement.

Guess It's Mabgti's then?

Yep agree regardless of the development of these kits it should've been the way the initial and any subsequent batches were deveopled. Such an obvious choice IMHO to keep the pipes nice and tidily out of the way.

Yes these will be available to buy from me with all the pipe work needed. Will need to work out a price, watch this space.

Not mabs car he likes to play with his own car so i wouldnt be unleashing his results, come on Jon thought you knew your cars LOL

You not hunted down the details of this motor yet, your slacking!

The car is my engineers who has been making the kits, he is very talented and stops at nothing till the job is right. Works me like a dog though.

Loves the kit so much he went and bought a six. LOL

Interesting, will have to have a think about these if the price is good.

Yea i got home ok, the car seems to run fine when driving normaly, i think the car is not getting enough air to the rad, hence why it gets hot when i rag it, engine warms the water up and it cant get cold enough via the rad, ther is alot of stuff in front of it.

Powersteering wise, it was a little low on fluid, but it got me home, replacement hose and clips will be on 2moz Smile

can you not get a fan switch that clicks in at a lower temp to keep air cooler or louvre vent the bonnet to let air out of the engine bay to help air flowing through the rad
