A few more pictures for you all, she is all up and running now, with a cat and a standard exhaust, have to say it seems weird to drive as there is no noise. From the top- Pipework to the right hand side of the cooler (passenger side of the car)- Pipework to the left hand side, (driverside on the car) How it sits in the front (blanked the plate as these are sneaky pics) Hope you like it, i have to say i do. I like it.. But i dont see why you didnt modify the bracket design to get the rotrex to move forward and down a touch so you could rotate housing so the outlet come from top/front? Would be easier to knock up some 90 degree hard pipe with a hump hose.. As the rotrex doesnt like collapsing silicone.. just like peter andre..thugpuggin wrote: lukejenks101 wrote: Thats not mabs , his is astor with a c/f bonnet remember Well can you tell the colour? puglover wrote: i prefer mine until a speed bump proves me wrong ill stick with whats proven Each to there own thats fair enough, my car still runs the older setup too. When you say proven how do you improve air going in to an intercooler with mandrel bends rather than angled degree bends?? tbh air flow is not a concern to me, it is after all being rammed down my engines throat and neither is any more power than whats been acheived. Im more interested in inlet temps and avoiding detonation more than anything. Its mandrel bent at the inlet which is where it matters most i reckon. My head has 3 angle valve seats as well which will improve things nicely i think.Dont get me wrong the setup looks really good i just dont like the cooler and unless speed bumps really are a problem then its pointless. |

be interesting to see if this conversion appears on the other charger set up or whether the alternative set up will remain looks like a cracking piece of development and natural progression to the kit looking much more factory fit |

It all takes time thats all, also helps to have a perfectionist as an engineer. He had is car back last night and just sounds like a kid with a new toy Carl ________________________________________ C.G.Cars of Leicester, Peugeot/Citroen/Renault specialist Tel: 01162 624498/07799 405184 WWW.CGCARSLEICESTER.CO.UK36 narborough road south, Leicester LE3 2fn MOT station now open, tests £35 with a free retest. Carl - I have had mine rampped without a intercooler and its running around 120bhp & 210 ft lbs, with an intercooler and a further remap 155-160 & 260-270 ft lb can be achieved. From the lay out it look ideal.. Ill be interested in prices. Matt ________________________________________ Team Astor Front Mounted... Hybrid turbo on it's way. |

Carl, you said that he is running the car with a Cat and standard exhaust.....has it been on a Dyno? Just interested to see if there is much difference between this and a car with a de cat and stainless system? Also, does it sound just like a standard one when your not booting it?John ________________________________________ Almost standard 1999 Bianca RallyeHilux InvincibleX daily 306 No.13 Carp and specialist Anglers Click here |
