so, there'll be a basic setup which we can order with modifications depending our needs?

to ask your question:
The Xsara VTS is roughly 1190kg, but I think I'll go for the custom option, and will weigh my car with the planned modifications and weight saving.

Normally , I have a "standard " kit which is a good all round setup for everyday fast road use and the odd track day, then, if you wish, a track biased setup can be available, which basicly consists of stiffer springs, if using the car for competition or heavy track use , I recommend using our sportline 2 units , the difference being an inverted front damper, thus increasing the strength, much more suited for track and competition.
adjustable topmounts will also be available

We're also going to find out the various differences between the Xsara models as well. Oh and hopefully we'll find out the rating of the standard GTi6 springs. Sure my eibachs are softer!

Would it be possible to give an estimate on cost of these setups, for example, the sportline 2 units?

Thanks Smile

Hi,
at the moment, I havent got a price for the kit , untill I know exactly what the kit consists of.
The springs we use are 60mm id,
The chrome shaft on the standard units are 22mm diameter,
The chrome shaft on the competition units are 45mm inverted, or 50mm for rally units,
The finish is a hard electro coating, as used on OEM equipment.

Hi Curtis, will the top mounts have a curved top surface to fit the standard strut tops properly?

If so I'll have a pair off you, save me the hassle of making some!

so the front shocks/springs are on the way...

but my question is still pending with the rear shocks!?

what would be the ideal for those, or does AST have a solution for that aswell?

Eh? He has a set of standard rear shocks too.
They will be valved for standard Gti6 torsion bars, but can be changed if you have thicker ones.

think it should be noted that a standard ZX16v and Xsara VTS share the same front springs, and 21mm rear torsion bars Smile

though the weight of the cars are a little bit different, not massively.

Hello Curtis, Paul from Xsport here. Any idea how much camber these top mounts will give? Will you be able to machine them to take 2.25" springs and have the platforms made to suit?

rear:

-ph.1 Xsara VTS: torsion bar - 21mm; anti roll bar - 24mm

same as in the ph.2 Xsara VTS (according to service.citroen.com)

-shocks have sligtly different part numbers:
ph.1 VTS - 5206N0
ph.2 VTS - 5206V7

front: - this can be useful aswell!

-ph.1 and ph.2 Xsara VTS: anti roll bar - 21mm

-springs are the same in the ph.1 and ph.2 VTS

-shocks can be different, I can't find out as Citroen uses the old part number scheme here for the ph.1 VTS (96157191 and 96157190), and the new for the ph.2 (5202CQ and 5202CR)
