whats the 0-60 on a gti-6 i've looked on parkers but i no that they are not always 100% right and whats quicker the xsi or gti?

I'd guess its closer to 7 or 7.5 seconds.

Its 7.1 0-60.
Iv recently brought an old advertisement feature brochure and it says it 8.5 0-62 but i know its 7.1 for sure.Happy

Where as the rallye is supposed to be 6.7 secs. iirc

gti is either 7.1 or 7.2, rallye is 6.9

I found some specs on the internet saying the XSi did 0-60 in 10.4, which is bullsh*t

depends on what kinda 6 you have really and what kit you have eg aircon etc

What does a new Type R do it in? Neck and neck aginst one the other day to 70 ish. Mine is a little modified though.

I read that when Peugeot released the gti-6 they quoted o-60 time with passengers and luggage in an attempt to lower insurance. How true this is I don't know. Don't shoot the messenger!!!

well iv seen a few whatcar.co.uk say 8.8..and thats not good is it..i hope there faster im looking to buy one within the next two months so any nice examples with low milage will be snaped up straight the way.

peugeot did do the 0-60 times at full load to get their gti's in a lower insurance group (which is why a saxo vts is a group higher than a 106 gti). so it will be less than that time.

It's not, it's either on or it's off regardless of thottle position.

Air-con has nothing to do the with engine management bar increasing the idle ignition advance and moving the ICV position a couple of steps so it idles faster [to compensate for the additional load on the engine and help circulate the refrigerent].

7.2 to 60 is about right,as for type r the 6 will keep up with them all day long.
