Got the crystals fitted yesterday, the bumper needs adjusting as it's all a bit out since fitting the radiator, but that will be done soon enough when I fit the slam panel.

Excuse the poor quality phone pics and the general state of the car Shock

Really freshens up the front end of the car Smile

They're on... Big grin Big grin Big grin

All you're getting for now is this teaser pic from my phone, until the batteries are recharged for the camera tomorrow Wink Can certainly feel the difference with the lower profile tyres on now, much nicer feel to it now Smile They don't half pick up brake dust though!

Found a couple of batteries for the camera with a little bit of life in them, so thought it'd be rude not to LOL

Been a while since I last updated this, sure you all know what happened...

Anyway, got the Superleggeras on, they looked stunning Cool

Lasted all of three days before I got a knocking noise, slowed down to see what it was and as I stopped, off came my wheel, held in with one bent bolt and with a huge hole in it from where the brake caliper had gone through it.

I was straight on the case though and managed to pick up an identical Superleggera, correct size and offset, which arrived yesterday. Going to get some new bolt to hub spacers on Saturday, paint the new wheel up on Sunday and hopefully have them fitted by Monday.

Also have my new slam panel to be painted white over the weekend and should be getting my Ph3 side strips to also paint white and fit.

Ordering new Brembo discs and Ferodo DS pads next week as well.

Got the new wheel sprayed up yesterday.

All of them in the garage for now waiting for new spacers that I'm getting next weekend.

Pic of the OE headunit, now with my new gadget...

Yes, that's a cassette Big grin

With a slot for an SD card Wink MP3 through the standard stereo as discovered by Bean0 on the RR, works rather well (you do hear the cogs going round though), only

Minor update Smile

Had a random thought about some stickers to give it the press car look from the magazine cover ten years ago, so thanks to Owen on 106 Owners I got a pair of Revs stickers Big grin

1998

2009

And also had some nice China/Mongstone Blue Ph3 sidestrips arrived today (cheers Ash Big grin)

So I'll enjoy a nice Sunday painting those and the slam panel up and if I get spacers on Saturday, get the Superlegs fitted as well.

Not a lot to update really, although the Superleggeras have been back on for a week and seem fine now Big grin

Now have 20mm bolt to hub spacers on the front and the old 26mm spacers on the back, seemingly with no problems, though I'll be keeping an eye for now. Only problem is that the hubs on the new spacers are a little smaller than the centre bore of the wheels, so I'll try and get some spigot rings to fill the gap, just to be safe.

In other updates, I've passed on the Ferodo DS2500s as I didn't have the money and I found a set of brand new Brembo discs and Textar (never heard of them, but they'll do for now) pads on the bay just before I went on holiday, so picked those up on Wednesday from Brizzle for the huge sum of....

P.S you could've got my bolts back during half time.

James looks clean as ever. Interesting Garage name reminds me of this.

Well like I said, they'll do for now anyway, hopefully get some DS2500 again next time. These have wires on them too (wear indicators?). Can I use them with a Rallye or am I better off just cutting them off?

Good old Beaver garage, my mate has their sticker in his car, always gets a laugh Razz

Bit of progress today, had some spare time and a good sunny day, so the rattle cans came out...

Today's spray booth, the back garden. Got the cyclones to be done too some time, going standard silver.

Twin fan set up from a GTi6, to go on soon, as my single fan doesn't work Shock

Ph3 strips painted and lacquered, going on tomorrow Smile
